Shu is not badass. He's a poor and lonely kid with nothing to hold on and throw himself to insanity. Pathetic. Screw loose. I hope Gai step in and kick his butt some sense.

lol I agree he is acting like Simon after Kamina's death that makes even Gurren puke icky spiral power barf... He deserves someone that will slap some sense and a pat on the back other than going yandere Inori... But its his fault for using boomerang indoors that the girl from K-ON died (Jun i guess)

Meh, I've already drank most of the poison, might as well stick around to finish it off.

I assumed Shu would end up being kind of a crappy evil leader, just as mentioned before, he's pretty much Yahiro's pet at the moment, so he still doesn't seem like much of a dark leader with a "survival of the fittest" mindset. He come's off more as a kid who handled Hare's death in the most unproductive way possible.

it's cool to be sad and depressed for a little bit, and then get your shit together and handle the situation in far more assertive way after coming to the conclusion that you want to avoid as many casualties as possible. Not saying that void ranking system was a bad idea, but it should have been carried out in a more tactful manner....not by turning the entire school into a damned military base where almost everyone has a stick up their ass.

Nope, Shu isn't an evil leader to me, just a kid who can't cope and handle the situation nearly as well as Gai could, and still sits and mopes on his own time.

Well hell, at least Mana ain't gone, and she seems to have taken form as a yandere Inori (yum), and now we have zombie Gai (I hope the series ends with him eating Shu's brain)

I swear, I wouldn't be surprised if we actually find out Shu has a void, and it turns out to be a tampon.

Far as I'm concerned, Ayase and Tsugumi are the best part of this show.

Mixed bag.

The production quality is top-notch; Artwork, animation, character design, music, cast- it's all fantastic.

But the writing seems kinda funky.

It's ultimately up to you. Give it another episode or two to see if it's to your liking.

For me- personally- it's hovering around a passing grade, and it still has chances to exceed expectations- which is why I'm still sticking with it.

Episode 17:

HOLY SHI- This episode was amazing! I feel really bad for Shu though (they could have told him that he was being a bad leader instead of letting him destroy himself. Also, when Gai came up to him--OUCH). And especially Inori! Is she all right!? D:

Looks like Shu needs a hand with the situation he is in, in order to make it better (pun intended)

Don't worry he'll just be like Anakin and get a robotic hand, than somehow Inori will be killed by him cause he's gone to da dark side and then he's gonna scream

this is pretty much the summary and Arisa is just using her resources... lol.

Now how does he gonna live in that position? If he is taken as a prisoner we can still predict what might happen but if he left to die there then I don't know Jack...

Honestly, I laughed a little when they pulled the guns out on him and pushed his ass into the ditch, good to see him get knocked down a peg. But When Gai showed up and pretty much sent shoe spiraling into a wimpering fetal position....I felt a little bad.

....Whatever, Shoe was fucking up big time anyways.
