Guilty Crown

Just caught up with the latest episode. God, this show would be so much better without Shu and the random plot.

Dropped with so much hate, can't believe I wasted so much time watching this.

I have been watching this since beginning, and I'll admit the whole random crap is a bit annoying.

It's fine if for few first episodes we get thrown around with these weird phrases like "Void Genome", "Power of the King" etc., but for Christ's sake, explain it already. It's really starting to bug me.

As for Shu...I dunno. One one hand, his whining reminds me of Shinji Ikari all over again...except that unlike Shinji, Shuu at least doesn't have to rely on his mom to bug him out every time shit hits the fan.

The animation and sound are easily godlike, but that alone doesn't cut it. It does have Scarface though, who to me is the most brilliant motherfucker since Dark Knight's Joker.

Now, skipping straight to most recent episode without commenting on all the others:

Spoiler:

The standard *kid breaks down, runs away* stuff. It's not like it's not warranted, since Shuu is supposed to be normal guy compared to somewhat as psychologically unhinged like Lelouch but... at least, it would have been fun if Gai shot him in an arm or something back then. That would be a really nice change, but whatever.

I never liked Hare. Generic clingy shy girl, just as much as Inori is the generic doormat. Ayase all the way baby.

The whole coup d'etat though...now that was beautiful. Extremely random in "why the fuck would you do that!?" way, but beautiful. Of course, it was most likely thanks to Mr. Segai, who once again is simply magnificent.

I'm silently hoping most of Funeral Parlor or whatever they're called will stay dead now for extra effect, but I somehow doubt it. Guess more people for Segai to waste.

Now, the only thing we're missing if for someone to explain the plot already. Eyecandy can keep me shut-up for long, but not forever.

So I just watched the new episode. *sighs* ya know I tried to be nice and not completely hate shuu, but when he pulls shit like this.. its just impossible to not hate the guy.

So let me get this straight, you think the guy who needs his mom's assistance is worse than the guy who rips his friends' hearts out and causes them to pass out?

Spoiler:
I'm not sure you fully appreciate the beauty of the scheme. Scarface's division was scattered all over the organization due the incident early on, yet this is used to their advantage now. Keido's actions at first make him look like a huge moron. But it was just a clever ploy to simultaneously decrease the security around the stone and effectively kill/disable the upper management of the organization (poor Dan though). Now Keido's division is on top AND they get to do their "little" experiment. This also makes Scarface's withholding of information about Shu seem a lot smarter. They have the keys, the tools, the information, and they might get rid of the thorns in their sides.

Spoiler:
I was referring more to the motives by "Why would they do that", but in the whole rest, you have a point. Rest GHQ didn't know what hit them, even with Antibodies being pretty much all around Japan (or Tokyo at least). Of course, unless they planned to be sidelined in the first place, so that the brass wouldn't pay that much attention to them as they did when Antibodies were a front-line unit, thus allowing them to prepare for coup without anyone paying too much attention to them anymore because they were "obsolete" in regards to insurrection/containment.

And I'm pretty sure they used that to transfer people to critical positions away from combat so they could wreck the day when Scarface gave okay.

Which would also explain why Scarface let Daryl wreck Leucocyte fire control center. One satellite less = less problems if things would go south. And probably have rest of GHQ spread out more to cover the ground they monitored with that thing, but that's now just wild mass guessing.

i think the only think that keeps me watching this confusing show is the opening/ending

Now were getting to a "the next ep is the last ep"-ish type of episode this time...
Spoiler:
kinda expected that someone to could be the same as him though... I mean if they stole your gun why not make/buy one again so you can face the thief again who has your gun?

Spoiler:
Nevermind that they said right at the start of the series that they had completed three Void Genomes. I did not enjoy hearing Tsugumi yell at Shu. Sure he chickened out, but you don't have to act the role of whiny bitch yourself. We finally have confirmation that Shu can use more than one Void at once. But it sure is JRPG in here. Good job Shu, you manned up (slightly) and used your (friends') abilities to break through all obstacles and reach your destination ... Then a villain just teleports in at the last second to try to kill you, even though its completely unnecessary and he could've done it a lot sooner. But that would not have been cool, would it?

At least Daniel went out with a massive punch, Haruka still looks hot even while distressed, and Ayase is sexy when thrashing around in pain.

*manly tears for Dan*

What, there's more than one Void Genom? Is this guy the last boss?

Spoiler:
Arching sexy back? and it emphasizes her chest more? and with the help of the body fitted suit? TOTALLY Hot

Lol... agree on how Tsugumi acting all bitchy on Shu... they were the ones who accepted that he doesn't need to come... But it looks like they really need him since he's really the core of their operations (just like how Ayase in a pinch called his name instead of Gai)

I haven't read or familiar to its LN dunno if they just compiled everything in 1 12-ep season well just like Linebarrel anime who has Miu at the start but in the manga she shows in a much latter appearance... Their Void-ness rivalry would have been better if shown more... like he shows up to his school to bitch Shu and hit on Inori and sometime he screws the Funeral Parlor's mission(especially Shu) or something

Lol I saw this mod on DN... Ima placing it now to mine... INORI!!

Aside from Shu, there are two other Void Genomes. This guy is unlikely to be the last boss if this series is 22 episodes as some places have reported. You don't get to steal away the main chick and live unless you accept Defeat Means Friendship.

Yes it was mentioned in the first few episodes.

The First Void Genome went to the protagonist of "Guilty Crown: Lost Christmas", who tags along with a girl who looks just like Inori/Mana.
The Second Void Genome went to the antagonist of "Guilty Crown".
The Last Void Genome went to Shu Ouma, which was supposedly for Gai Tsutsugami.

Also, Gai mentioned that you can steal the Void Genome if you kill its host. So there may be transfers going on that we don't know about. We'll have to wait for "Guilty Crown: Lost Christmas" for that.

Lol don't make them kill Gai yet! I still can't imagine Shu leading the terrorist... well I also can't imagine in the past how can Simon take Kamina's footsteps so... I really don't know...

Ep 11: Well I thought this was a good episode. Made up for Shu pussying out in the last one. Kind of cliche but it was still nice. The plots starting to get more interesting now.
