Gundam 00 S2 24

#24 Beyond

-I did not like how Billy got to live and confess his love for Sumeragi. He's still an idiot for helping Ribbons.

-Tieria gets killed, shot couple of times and one to the head but he's alive and owned Ribbon's ass by taking control of Veda and remote control Seraphim with the Trial System/Trial Field.


-Looked like everyone was getting owned half way through the show then get's saved by Setsuna with a new kind of Trans-Am... Trans-Am Burst. Not only does it make your Gundam faster and better, now it has the ability to revive the dead :lol:


-Louise dies temporarily due to head pain then gets pixie dust by 00 miraculously come back to life.

-I'm not pleased how Andrei did not die... though he did get mind fucked by Marie and now realizes that he's been a douchebag all along.

-Lyle cheated thanks to Seraphim. With units connected to Veda shutdown, Arche Gundam falls prey to pistol shots. And while trying to escape, Lyle kills Ali with one to the head.


-Now that Tieria conscious is in Veda, he tells Setsuna Aeolia's true plan. While leaving, Setsuna sees Seraphim gets blown by Ribbon's Guncannon like suit.


I've been reading the discussion on AS and apparently a lot of users there are comparing G00 with GSD... Some saying GSD was better and vice versa. And the comparison between Kira "Jesus" Yamato and Setsuna F Seiei. To me, they're from different universes with different plot lines so you can't really compare the two other than G00 knew where it was going where GSD was pulling stuff out of its ass. As for the pilots... don't really know yet.

I'm still wondering how Tieria was the one that gets shot and not Ribbons since Tieria did have the gun drawn first. That part doesn't really make much sense to me.

0 Gundam didn't do much except run out of particles. And Ribbon's Guncannon... geez what a box MS, Alvatore was better design wise.

Oh and where the fuck is Graham, one episode left and he's been MIA for the last 2...

I don't like how there are so many trolls for this anime. I found the episode pretty good, actually. Those who complain simply misunderstand the whole show. It's pretty obvious that this show is about misunderstandings. The 00 is supposed to change this and to me, it's doing its job.

There were several hints thoughout S2 that 00 was going to be super powerful and where the series was headed.

One was at the very end of S1 where Liu Mei says 00 will change the world. I think Mizushima said something about 00 being akin to a miracle machine and it doesn't seem like he was lying.

Sunrise has plans for how 00 is going to end, and they have laid down hints and groundworks leading to the ending. The rails and waybeams had already been laid weeks ago. The train will go to its destination and it did. I don't know how ranters can compare this with GSD, GSD lost focus after Kira came back and there were so many things left unexplained.

I agree with you Imperial, G00 did it's job. It went where it was suppose to go. Not really a perfect ending and not what a lot of fans wanted but got to its destination.

Sunrise kind of surprised me. It looked like they were going for the "everyone dies" type of approach, but instead does a 180 on us once TAB came into play. Ali is definitely dead, and Tieria may or may not be, Andrei should be dead, and thank god that Louise and Saji are still alive, I was really worried that all of Saji's screentime was a waste.

Also, this episode was unintentionally funny at various parts, and I don't just mean the FABULOUS GN particles. Like when Saji was getting choked, I was like, "Well, someone didn't watch End of Evangelion ..." And the whole Lockon vs. Ali thing. Ali did all the typical evil villain stuff, up to and including pretending to give up only to try to shoot only to get shot in the head himself.

Having your own views and sharing them is always better than just agreeing to what already has been said. Most importantly, that is NOT to be considered as "trolling."

That's why we're here in a "discussion" board - to discuss, to share, to argue/debate, and not just agree with everything. Don't forget that there's not much of an anime that can truly be perfect. Some people are simply more "open minded", maybe a bit critical, and unbiased when looking at the bigger picture.

As for me, even though I haven't really been taking part in this series' discussions (I'm still watching this, fyi) - I'm very articulate when it comes to letting my thoughts and feelings be known. Just refer to some anime discussion threads in which I've posted/created.

Well, I pretty much loved this episode. After this I can forgive Sunrise even the atrocities that were GSD and CGR2.

Well, I haven't seen this ep since there were no subtitles availible... I'm not against reviving dead if it's made in some at_least_looks_like_reasonable way. That GN Telepathy was so-so, and now even GN Livegiving. We'll see, we'll see.

Fuck it - that poor excuse for a Lockon didn't deserve to beat Ali ! No one 'cept Nena did. And if it wasn't for that goddamn pixy dust the whole CB (and Louise) would have been dead. Talk about pulling miracles out of your ass ...

Anyways - with Nena, Ali and (probably) Soma and Hallelujah out of the picture, not a single character I liked remains. Weeeeeeeee....
And as if Andrei didn't make my blood boil already he now has a pussy scream that comes with the set. For fuck's sake Sunrise - kill him already ! Everyone wants that.

Also - WTF happened with Billy boy ? One moment was like 'you're a traitor and a threat to world peace' and the next 'I've always loved you you know... Wanna shoot killer automatons together ?'. Yey for solid motivation and overall purpose in life...

Apart from that - exciting ep :D

You're right. This anime is far from perfect. However, there are many people who always troll without giving a proper reason. Expressing opinion is great, but for this anime, there are a lot of people who mindless call this show a trainwreck without thinking at all. These people totally hurt the creators and it's these people I was referring to in my post. Sorry if I didn't make it very clear.

Sigh, why did it always turned out like this. I thought at least the battle of Lock on will be great. But..... Quite great but there were too many of the battle that was supposed to be great being suck with many reason. I hope the battle between the Robbin Alsmark and Setsuna be a good one

LOL yes I thought so myself. Especially the part where Louise is choking Saji; I had an obvious flashback of Evan where Shinji does it to Asuka.

I was also very surpsrised about the whole everyone lives thing. I really was expecting an almost everyone dies scenario. Though I feel it was well done. Like it was pointed out in other posts the point of this series is misunderstanding one another and how to be able to change that and have people understand each other so they don't fight.

Ali's death was a typical bad guy's death, Tiera's a bad shot since we know that Ribbons didn't even have a gun in his hand and still managed to pierce him of bullets.

Andrei should have died it's bull that he's alive. That guy does not deserve to fucking live.

Billy; it's ok that he lived he understood in the end and that's what matters.

Ribbons; This fucker needs to die. I've said it before I'll say it again: a painful death. As painful as possible because this mofo has been doing shit everywhere and hasn't taken any responsability for it. Just saying zomg I'm a god; I'm evolution you lowly humans be my pawns.

I was surprised at Aeolia's plan. This is a first in Gundam history. Peace so that we will be able to meet and understand alien lifeforms >.> (They're pushing it IMO).

Good episode overall. Can't wait for the next one.

Wait, what? Comparing it with GSD? A failure show that tries to imitates Zeta Gundam? *Crazy laughs*

People tends to make assumption that the next episode will be a failure before actually watching it. The most thing that irritates me of how much people complains of Ribbons piloting a GunCannon like unit. Maybe its better to leave it that way then, just to annoy them more. I have no problem Ribbons 'Amuro' Almark piloting a Guncannon in the battle with Setsuna as long as the fight is good. Again if people have been watching the this series from season one the groundwork have already been laid of what will become of the Gundams and Setsuna especially in him becoming sort of powerful and there we have people screaming when he goes like some sort of ultimate innovator, healing or bringing someone back to life, yeah its pretty cheap but considering that it is expected that Setsuna will become somewhat stronger and we only have one episode left its well executed in my opinion. Also its kind of a trend in Mecha anime the final boss will give our hero a hard time and have like 2 or 3 different forms.

Somehow it kinda reminds me when people seems unsastified and complains with Raizer going trans-am. Oh my god Plot Armor Haxxor!. Yet in the next few episodes we still see 00 Raizer have tough time fighting and people no longer care what happens on episode 11 anymore.

Anyway this was a good episode unlike the previous one. I love the part where Louise kinda died and return back to life again. So the curse hasn't been officially broken yet regarding the fate female psycho who pilots gigantic MA/MS. I'm happy that Louise and Saji got a happy end, something that I have been waiting for throughout the second season.

Only one character kinds of disappoints me very much...

I agree, it does look way better than that Gun Cannon. Maybe it's like a pseudo full armor Gundam?
