Haruhi needs to die!

I just finished watching the 2nd last episode of Haruhi season 2, and I just hope they make a season when she either dies or at least has all her power taken away from her... She's nothing but a spoiled brat with just too much power, with which she just endangers the world because of her own selfish, one-sided desires.

The anime is good, I'll give it that, but it just pisses me off to have such a self-centered bitch as a main character, more-so with god-like characters... I understand the bad stuff that can happen if she's mad or unsatisfied, but why the fuck don't the other characters (besides Nagato) just yell at her for being such a brat... Kyon finally reacted after seeing Asahina get used as an object, but he was stopped before he had the chance to properly knock her out.

Throughout the series, Koizumi implies that she does in fact have some form of common sense, but I strongly disagree seeing as she's unable to see the MAJOR flaws in her own behavior, not to mention she thinks she has the right to treat everyone like dirt, with the possible exception of Kyon, though she abuses him almost as much as everyone else. I strongly think she should at least be stripped of all her powers, even though she's oblivious of them, and be let to see how it feels to have bad stuff happen to her.

I'm off to see the last episode, and I'll edit the post afterwards... I just had to write this down now and relieve myself of some of the annoyance.

Hrm, I thought so at first. But she isn't that bad, she just wants something special to happy to her and everyone else. For her, it must be like pulling teeth trying to get everyone else to feel the same, so she gets a little out of control sometimes.

That, however, is no excuse to be acting like she is. She may not be a complete bitch, although she certainly acts like one sometimes (if not most of the time), but the fact remains that she's spoiled and self-centered brat, nonetheless, and needs to be taught a lesson.

I have yet to read the light novel, Kaimax, so I based my opinion solely on the anime, so I'd ask you to post a link, or if it's nowhere to be found online please make a short summary :D

Perhaps I'll change my opinion of Haruhi after I get a bit deeper in the light novels.

Answering that first question will require major spoilers for the movie / light novel. You really should read the light novels. They're excellent and go into great detail about why things happen the way they do. The basic presumption, though, is that Haruhi's a good girl at heart, she's just really, really bored. While Kyon may complain a lot about Haruhi's whims and whatnot he doesn't really try to stop her that often. Truth is, they're all having fun to an extent.

Well, I knew that Kyon was the main character... I see Haruhi as another main character, because basically everything happens because of her.

I know little about the light novels, but I always got the impression from the anime that she's a good person at heart; I mean it builds around Kon's frustration in conflict with his feelings for her, to the point that he hits her at the end of S2 (if I recall). Knowing there's a lot yet to come, it always seemed obvious that there will be a happier resolution...and she is pretty lovably oblivious/mad. :P

The current movie subs is a bootleg sub. you're better off waiting for the DVD/Blu-ray versian
