Hellsing

This series is so badass I can't even describe it. Plot is simple but not stupid. It is the most blood I have ever seen. And the amount of deaths in the Battle in London is so awesome and bloody that I have to say it get 10/10 for awesomeness. There some softcore porn here and there but it is still great.
Plot is...
I can't believe nobody put a thread in about this manga. The art is very good. The action is intense. I give this 95 out of 100 in my own opinion.
Plot is...
Hellsing is named after and centered about the Holy Order of Protestant Knights, led by the current member of the bloodline of Abraham Van Helsing. The mission of Hellsing is to protect Queen and Country from the undead and other supernatural forces of evil. This organization is led by Sir Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing, who inherited the leadership of Hellsing as a child after the death of her father. She is protected by the faithful Hellsing family butler and former Hellsing "trashman," Walter C. Dornez, and Alucard, a powerful vampire that was captured by the family a hundred years ago and serves as the organization's current "trashman." These formidable guardians are joined early on in the storyline by former police officer Seras Victoria, whom Alucard turned into a vampire.
As the scale and frequency of incidents involving the undead escalate in England and all around the world, Sir Integra discovers that the remnants of a Nazi group called Millennium still exist and are intent on reviving the Third Reich with an army of immortal vampires. The operatives of Millennium, Hellsing, and the Vatican Chapter XIII Iscariot clash in an apocalyptic three-sided war in London, and Millennium reveals its true objective: to destroy the vampire Alucard and end a feud begun in the last World War.

Curious and Wondering
You be right. This manga is quite underrated.
I mean, certainly Kouta Hirano's art style is not cute nor mass-appealing. The story's main person (a vampire) and part-time antagonists (radical clergymen) is already done way too many times by various mangakas.
But the main selling point of this manga is that the storylines are very good. It's gritty, detailed and meticulous. It sets apart itself from the other same mangas of this genre. It's like he uses his ink and heavy line toning (his mangas use way too much ink) to accentuate his work. And it's blood, gore and storylines spattered on each page. Loads of fun to read.

I own all the American releases and I have to say it is one of my favorite series.
They need to hurry up and get the next volume out though......

Great series but the ending was kind of meh. I was quite dissapointed to say the least. I mean all those months of waiting for each little release and the grand finale was kind of like, that's it? It just ends like that?

I haven't exactly been reading it (I'm currently stuck somewhere around chapter... I can't remember) but I do agree with most of what jmason have mentioned.
It's just that the majority of users here at FAKKU! aren't really compelled nor into AWESOME stuff like HELLSING.
(they seriously don't know what they're missing)
Btw, what do you guys think about the OVA adaptation? Your comments/opinions are more than welcome HERE.
