Is the production for the season 2 for the anime stopped?

Last I heard, the next installment are OVA's.

Why does everyone have such awesome parents in this manga?
I doubt the average high school student's parents own guns/spears/swords and work (or used to work) for the police/ the military/gangs.

I've never thought about that... I don't remember any of their parents being average (Kohta's, Saeko's, and Shizuka's were never revealed though).

If I recall right,
Kohta's parents are not living with him now. His mother is a famous fashion designer, while his father is a Captain of a Cruise ship(?), and he also mentioned that his grandfather was a great person too.

Saeko. Only her father was mentioned by Takagi's dad, and he said he was a great swordsman. (?)

Both of Shizukas parent have already died before the main story.

I'm kinda pissed that Takshi's going back to the Rei route. If you notice, Before Saeko says that she'll take the lead, There's like 2 whole frames Just on her looking at takashi and Rei. My guess is that hse'd take the lead wasn't just for the reasons she specifies. Though I've got to wonder, does anyone else get the feeling that Saeko is going to die? I mean, she's my fav character, and I'd be sooo pissed if it happened, but I cant shake the feeling that she's going to pull a heroic sacrifice at some point.

-Random theory- You notice that gun that she got from Hirano? If anyone else is a troper, Then they'll know what I mean when I think that Saeko's gun Will be a "Chekhov's gun". My guess is that at some point When Rei and Takashi get together, She'll loose her composure and end up being bitten. Que sappy "We can save you Saeko" speech from Takashi, crocodile tears from Rei and Saeko either: A) accepting it and telling Takashi how she feels/ says its not his fault, or B) Finally breaks down and goes insane So that the group will leave her, but not before She verbally beats down Takashi and Rei. Que existential moment of descovery with flashbacks. Que Saeko smiling serenely as she closes her eyes. Que Saeko saying something heartfelt or badass as page goes white. Cut to sound of gunshot. Cut to Takashi Blaming himself for what's happened.
