[Anime] HunterXhunter

I think a lot of people have heard about this anime as well as the manga.

Gon`s father, long believed to be dead, is still alive and was once one of the greatest Hunters in existance. Gon believes he will be able to meet his father once he himself becomes a Hunter. However, before he can become a Hunter, he has to pass the Hunter Exam first, an exam made of numerous tasks and dangerous trials. Persevering and refusing to give up, Gon manages to reach the Hunter Exam, all the while keeping his innocent attitude. Throughout many of the tasks and trials of the Hunter Exam, Gon manages to make many unique friends. Kurapica, a sole survivor of his clan seeking revenge, Leorio, who wants to become a doctor, and Killua, a member of an infamous assassin family, all eventually join up with Gon in hopes of passing the exam together. Each of them have their own reasons for taking the exam, but will they manage to pass it alive? It will be no easy task, as the tasks and trials in the exam are not easy. Aside from worrying about dying from the exam itself, Gon and his friends also have to watch out for killers participating in the exam.

Yes i really like this anime, but the only minus is the lenght of the hunter exam, it took about half of the serie (if we don't count OVA's).
But when they get in to Greed Island is stardet to be really omoshiroi.

The hunter exam plot is ok. The most interesting is about the Spider plot. Greed island plot is also good but I like spider plot more. It has more action. Look like all the spider are feaking powerful. What is the power of the purple color hair girl from the spider.

I watched the tv series and then spent like six months trying to find the freaking OVAs only to find the ending was rushed and kinda lame.

First episode of the reamke series is out.

They basically condensed 3 episodes into 1.
And the whole fanrage is happening again, because stupid people doesn't know the meaning of a remake and kept comparing it to the original.

it was good it just condensed 3 episodes in to one witch i think is something of an improvement. just as long as they dont do it for the actual important parts then its good. Its not like they are changing the story so theirs no reason to go on a fan rage.

Most of them were complaining when they skipped Gon's meeting with Kaito.

I was a bit surprised when I watched the first episode, didn't realize it was a remake... >.>'

That being said, I am pleased with the current pace of the show. Even though Gon's meeting with Kaito is extremely important, I can see it being left out until the need arises to air it.

On a side note... I didn't realize Kurapika's VA was a chick in both the original and remake. It surprised me when I first heard him speak in the episode.

yea i can see where people would be pissed but its easily added to a different episode as more back story.

episode 3 is out and Hisoka's(and Killua's) voice is different :( and i must confess that the original voice of Hisoka was much creepier/better suited than this but oh well i guess that we'll get used to this one :P

Watched episode 8 and I realised that the naked birds are unfinished in their behaviour: they eat the man who s trying to escape but they do not eat the hunter on the top of the tower >< The man who created those birds was certainly occupied with the design of their asses...

The new anime is a a condensed version, By the first scene we already know their behavior, we don't really need more killings to know that.

I also liked the new opening/ending of this anime, I don t say that "Ohayou" isn t an an opening but this time, songs are obviously better :)

I WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO THE DANCHOU (spider leader)!!

i hope they follow the story like in the manga - ants arc and all..
I thought they will change the graphic animation style in the remake but they didnt.. disappointment, not that i hate the current one..

I wonder how long before they show gon in this form:

We haven't even touched greed Island yet, so it's going to be long lol.

i hope they make the fight a bit longer in the anime than in the manga.

So far think they've done a good job with the series. Didn't really catch the original anime, so its a second chance to get into it.
