[Anime] Hyperdimension Neptunia

I hope Nipponichi-chan is in the anime. I need more of her delicious flat chest.

As a fan of the game series, I'm very excited about this upcoming anime. It looks promising to me, and hopefully it'll do well.

Also, I'm just here for Noire, the same VA that also voices Chihaya from iM@S, Tsubaki from BlazBlue, and Maki from Steins;Gate,.

No, I mean Nipponichi. NIS America changed her name to "Nisa" when in reality it's actually "Nipponichi"

Well I know that Nipponichi is the name of the company in Japan, but in the Neptunia video games the character is named Nisa. Maybe it was that way if you played the Japanese version of the game, but why would you do that anyways.

Because her name is legitimately Nipponichi. I played the localized version with JPN audio and I could hear them say "Nipponichi" and not "Nisa". Compile Heart and Idea Factory are the developers who made the game and created the characters so I go by what they say. NISA didn't develop shit.

Im not trying to get into a fight over who developed what. I don't much care. All I was saying is that in the english version they call her Nisa. Listening to Japanese audio means the Japanese version. And honestly, Nisa is a much better name for a person then Nipponichi is.

So you don't care about what her actual name is then? She's a character that's named after a game developer.

Gust was named after the game developer, "Gust"
5.pb was named after the game developer, "5.pb"
Nipponichi was named after the game developer, "Nippon Ichi"

Except NISA renamed her to "Nisa". So now she's named after a the localization company, NIS America, instead of the game developer, Nippon Ichi Software. You should always go by what the original names are. I guess it's fine if you like "Nisa" better but that's not her actual name. If she is in this anime, I guarantee you she'll be called Nipponichi. And you should always care about who the developers are because they're the ones who actually made the game.

The characters "actual" name is just about which version you play. If you play the American version then her actual name is Nisa. If you play the Japanese version her name is Nipponichi. Neither one is incorrect. NISA I believe stands for Nippon Ichi Software America right? So its just the American branch of Nippon Ichi, its the same fucking thing

What happens if you play the American version with the Japanese dubs on. Then you see "Nisa" on the screen but hear "Nipponichi" spoken. Then what the fucks her name?

You go by what the original developers fucking named her because they're the ones who made the goddamn game. Without them, NISA wouldn't even have the game to localize in the first place. Also, there's a difference between NISA and NIS. It's not the "same fucking thing" at all. NIS actually develops games while NISA just localizes them.

Finally, yes, technically her name is Nisa in the West. Your right. Both are "correct" and you can call her whatever you want. However, I go by what the actual developers named her because they're the ones who made the game in the first place. The Japanese version is the original version so I call her "Nipponichi". NISA decided that they needed to fuck with it and call her Nisa instead. So yes, she's Nisa in the West. I don't know why you'd want to go by what NISA says though. They alter names and terminology like motherfuckers.

Also, why the fuck would play Neptunia with English dubs on? I can understand a game like Persona 3 or 4 that actually have somewhat passable dubs but Neptunia is a different story.

Wow dude, you are getting way too upset about something like this. First of all I don't know anything about developers, nor do I care about the specifics of official developers and what not. When I played the game she was called Nisa and thats all there is to it. Actually, if I had to pick between naming a person Nisa or naming them Nipponichi I would name them Nisa thats just a better sounding name. Perhaps they thought so too. You seem to just hate NISA in general so thats probably why you are acting so butthurt. I couldn't give two shits about hating a development company for whatever reason you feel they have wronged you. And why would I play with english dubs, I guess the question is why wouldn't I? Only reason to not watch something in english is if the voices are annoying or if they all sound flat and robotic and shit. In Neptunia they don't so why not watch dub?

So for the sake of Localizing the names, they changed it into Nisa on-screen instead of having it Nipponichi. And yes I play in the original Japanese dub =D cute flat chested heroine.

Except for the fact that I'm not butthurt. I tried to explain to you why her name is "Nipponichi" and now I'm apparently butthurt?

Also, you should care about developers. They're the ones who, ya know, make games.

you don't have to apologize. It's just that you lead me to believe that you have some kind of vendetta of hate against NISA and anyone that doesn't follow that is an idiot, so it looked like you were butthurt cuz I wasn't agreeing with that

I'm just passionate about not altering original creations. NISA will often make unnecessary changes to the games they localize so I do tend to rant about some of the things they do.

well I don't see how this is a big deal. Like I said before Nisa is a better sounding name for a person anyways. At least thats what I think
