Now this episdoe was excellent! it had a lot of things that I love about Clannad, it had lots of emotion in it.

with everyone out cold its up to Tomoya 'The Italian Stallion' Okazaki to face of against the rival gang leader
damn does this fight last long......
its all over now we know the truth behind Miyazawa's brother (althought you coulda guessed he was dead) and now the story will move on to another arc.

actually I though that okazaki was stonger (if he could have used his right arm properly he would have won this fight in no time I guess)
I have to say that the music in clannad is one of the best drama anime music i have ever heared so far and very important for the emotional part.
and for the end of this episode, I was really confused at the beginning what happend to miyazawas brother but at the moment the fight started and the look of miyazawas face, everything was disclosed for me.
but i have to say that this arc was not as good as the previous ones (including the first clannad season).
the jokes also tend to kill the atmosphere...I mean seriously we all know that sanae-sans bread is deadly.
But in this case it was just used to get okazaki into the fight and completey messed up the atmosphere for me.
hope the don´t bring the weak (but hilarious) jokes that often during important atmospheric scenes.
like the "fuko appears to solve problems" one in the first season, it was hilarious the first time, but than the ripped it of so badly that it got annoying.
anyway I hope the following arcs will be better.

Well, the Miyazawa arc was among the weaker in the game as well. Miyazawa was supposed to be one of the main heroines, but her route didn't live up to the Key quality so they made her into a secondary character.
Kappei Hiragii route will be interesting, and how they can intergrate it with the real after story, which should be starting soon.
The other none Nagisa routes also felt kind of stressed, I think one must have read the VN to fill in with details from memories and get emotional over it. Infact, I don't think I would watch or enjoy the Clannad anime if I hadn't.

Do you think they'll finish that arc in the current time, or actually finish it in the after story when Ryou become a nurse? (I know it wasn't actually in the after story, but the ending itself took place several years after the time of the main arcs)
