Lookin for a new anime...

Hey yall, tryin to find something new to watch. I love action animes (Bleach, Champloo, etc) and I'm lookin for something kinda thought-provoking (mainly referring to a Death Note-type, since I love it). Dislike mechs, would prefer to stay away from soap'ish animes.

If you guys wouldn't mind helpin me out, I'd appreciate it! :D

Yeah im looking for something new as well. Im currently waiting on Shakugan no Shana (can any 1 tell me a site thats gonna have episodes?)But other than that just casually look at Fakku till people go crazy over an anime, i.e. School Days.

Mushishi is pretty intelligent. Some episodes got a nice eerie, spooky kinda feel too. Not quite an action aime though.

For both action and intelligence, I guess you could try Ergo Proxy, currently watching it myself. It's slowed down a bit, but I hope the last episodes can pull it all together.

I would also recommend both Ghost in the Shell series (Stand Alone Complex and 2nd Gig).

Awesome, thanks a lot Cooper. I'll check out Ghost in Shell. I've got the SAC and second gig already downloaded onto my computer from a couple years back...just never got around to watching them.
