...Michael already has a really close scrape that kinda mimics his death in the TV series... To be honest I'd rather see Alto die than Michael. I really, really, really hate Alto, and Michael was just too cool. He's supposed to be the show's Max Genus analog anyway, and I don't remember him dying. (though on principle I refuse to watch Mac7, I'm not sure of his fate there.)

promotion for the scale-model Valks was just a little too...blatant a product placement? I mean, sure Batao had some range time with a Glock-26 mod that Tokyo Marui was pushing [in GIS SAC 2nd Gig], but this...I almost stopped watching the movie at that point. I know that Shouji Kawamori's long sold-out and that these movies were just an excuse to sell more music and models, but come on...you can't even try to be subtle about it?

Seriously, I know the guy has to make lots of mecha designs to please the fanboys and make his masters happy, but the wings on the Durandal are faaar to dar back. Especially in Gerwalk it;s painfully obvious because the thing has to be tilted so far down. As it stands the thing flying in the atmosphere would be terminally nose-heavy, just like the F-4 Phantom.

ugh, i just read some forums and yahoo answers about this 2nd movie and I'm not happy on what I read about the fates of the characters and could be like Shin x Sara or Misa and Hikaru missing in space but I'll still wait for the movie and to see is to believe...

From what i read Alto still lives and folded in some part of the universe (and he might hit SDF-2 Megaroad-1 where Hikaru, Misa, and Minmay or their descendants is).

And oh yeah I haven't read about Micheal's death or something but I think they didn't add Klan's ending(I hope Micheal just make himself a Zentradi size since Max did it for Milia on Macross:"Do you remember love?".

I never learn about this Kawamori-type ending, M7+OVAs to M7 Dynamite(still no conclusion which happens in MF and its 1st movie) and Mzero(Sara and Shin's fate could be same as MF 2nd movie).

Why has he changed the gunpods so often? Principally, regarding ammunition capacity and storage. The first generation of gunpods were actually pretty damn cool and realistic. They had the ammunition stored helically around the barrel assembly, so the mechs firing off 200-400 rounds in a scene were entirely plausible. But then, he goes with these new, streamlined designs. Where are the magazines Shouji-tan? The only logical magazines in the newer gunpods before the VF-25 were box-mags, and in the given space you'd only have a couple seconds-worth of fire with a Gatling gun. The VF-19s detachable mags somewhat mitigated this, but my real gripe is the VF-25s gunpod. With the firing in the down position it's clear there is not ammunition storage forward of the breech block. All there is for storage is a small cylindrical area aft the breech block assembly, and it is faaaaaaaaar too small to hold the 200, 300, or in the case of the final battle of False Songstress, 10,000 rounds each VF-25 fires off. Perhaps if technology had moved to caseless ammunition it might be remotely plausible, which especially in space makes sense from a cooling standpoint(but nooooo, Macross needs those endless showers of 100-lb brass shells falling every which way).

And what was that with Gilliam? That fucker was supposed to be a veteran and in several scenes he is seen firing at the colony ships, or spray-firing at the Vajira, clearly endangering civilians, especially with 55mm high-explosive rounds?

And about the supposed source of energy for all this equipment, thermonuclear/fusion reactors...there must be no heavy water left in the whole effing universe with all these super-ships, energy cannons, and variable fighters consuming energy.

What a bunch of complete, abject jackassery and an insult to anyone remotely intelligent.

Kawomori likes to make the viewers to imagine at the ending of each Macross series like did Minmay, Misa, Hikaru died when they said Megaroad-1 was lost? or did Mao Nome and Shin end up together? or who the hell did Mylene ended up with? To much imagination consumes brain cells...

I hope some OVA or manga could clear what happened to those 3... just like Wild Arms XF at psp ending they just said something good happened at the year xxxx but a manga clear all the viewer's imaginations and gave what "good ending" really happened at that time.

Yes thats right blame Alto!!! i never liked him anyways and I'm a better pilot than he cuz i beat him and Micheal at the Omake Route at Macross Triangle Frontier... anyways I liked the 2 Goddesses and I like them on stage together but I liked Sheryl more because of her character and May'n i guess.. so thats a yey for me?

And I liked their epilogue in audio(which is sheryl and ranka's concert)... So Its safe to Assume that For Some Bizzare(or can be explained by Anime Logic) Reasons Alto manage to get back to Sheryl and in the process Sheryl waking up from coma thus making her the happiest woman and manage to do a HAPPY FUN concert with Ranka... Because if Sheryl wakes up in the coma without Alto managing to come back, she can never sing that happy and might end up emo because of Alto's disappearance... weeeeeeeeell this is just my opinion though...
