It was pretty obvious they were Quincy. I mean they dropped a major hint that it was them. My curiosity is this, if people die they become hollows or go to soul society, what happens when Quincy die? They're still alive so what is their state of transition from life to death. This is what bugged me in the beginning when Ishida tagged along, when it was revealed of the genocide of his people I just asked myself "so now that they are dead doesn't this mean they become spirits and can strike back at the Shinigami for annihilating them"? Guess what happened, obvious setup was WAAAAAAAY too obvious. Guess they bide their time until the perfect moment to attack back and Author is finally using this plot point as the ending arc. So my guess is the Quincy have shinigami or arrancar powers of releasing a more powerful state or some BS to match or be OP to the shinigami. Whatever at least this plothole is finally being filled. God, this shounen just gets more and more predictable.

I'm only watching this shit for two reasons.

1. I hate giving up half way on manga
2. Despite the predictable plot the powers are still interesting

Yeah, but I'm still mad they gave lil air time to the trio. Only fight I actually cared to watch, but nope it's a shounen so they magically get their ass handed by OPness factor just to build up for main protagonist to take on.

That being said, I still hope that the last arc will be animated. If there is one redeeming quality about the anime adaption it would be the fights. Some of them were mind blowingly well animated.

Obviously there is more to the reasons as to why Ishida stayed behind, though its gonna be some time before we 'officially' find out. On another note, its only a matter of time until Grimmjow reappears. I'm curious as to what his role shall be in all of this.

I bet Ishida's father will interfere like a bauce. Just like Ichigo's.
Also, for this final arc, I wanna see Kenpachi Zanpakutou's name, also the bankai of Genryusai, Kyouraku, Ukitake and Urahara's AND I wanna see complete Vasto fucking Lordes. And I'm not asking too much.

No, of course not..... You forgot Unohana's bankai btw

Have we actually seen Isshin fight? Besides the curb-stomping to grand fisher? Because that would be on my wish-to-see list.

Somewhat. There was that point when he intervened during the Ichigo/Aizen fight, though we didn't see a huge amount of fighting compared to most

I thought her Bankai was that Giant manta ray thing.

That's her Shikai.

Hmm then I'm assuming her bankai will just be a bigger more monstrous version of that manta ray...or maybe a hot sexy chick.

So... Why the quincy are germans?

I'm wondering if we are gonna see bankai of many vice captains, such as Hisagi or Izuru

Because stereotyping is fun.

Ya, that's what I thought.

So does anyone think Uryu knows that Ichigo's enemies are Quincy? And if so, who's side is he gonna be on?

NNaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. At best, he'll probably become a double agent, or by some miracle the only Quincy left alive is forgotten because they're cocky sons of bitches. Though it does perk the question if why Ichigo insisting Uryu NOT to go to Heuco Mundo. He's been there to fight the 8th Espada ( correct me if I'm wrong) so why not now? It's rather strange in my opinion.

He fought the goth girl of the Privaron Espada (won) and the tranny (8th Espada, nearly died).

Three possible answers as to why Ichigo insists on Uryu staying out of HM
1. Because Quincies obliterate Hollows instead of purifying them and the balance is bad enough already.
2. Because they might run into Quincies and Uryu might have to make a difficult choice.
3. An amalgam of the above reasons

My apologies, I went back a few chapter but it was Uryu that refused to tag along to Heuco Mundo.
I understand the first reason. 2 is kinda iffy for some apparent reason that I can't explain (Just a gut feeling I guess.)

Reason number 4: Uryu already knows Quincies have invaded Heuco Mundo and does not wish to reveal his identity by his comrades!!..........yea right.....maybe

Actually, I thought it was simply that he felt he had helped shinigami enough, perhaps with a helping of his father pressure. Come to think of it, did his father drop off the earth of what? For some reason, I would not be surprised if he knows about what is going on. Would be kind of cool if the plans for the current happenings were part of the reason of why his father abandoned his quincy heritage
