[Manga] mushishi

a man of spirits, ginko can sense mushishi or mushi for short; beings composed of life essence that few have strong sense of and a fewer still having the capability to see them. the entire anime is of ginkos encounters with the vast variety of mushi and theyre invisible effects on the human realm. he is hired as a 'mushi master' due to his experience and heals these usually negative effects from the patient or his woes. it is because of these fascinating as HELL beings that are just to creative to overlook that i suggest you give a try if you havent already. if you have, please tell me what you think about it =3

Haven't seen this anime yet but could you give me the short explanation of this? Cause it sounds like it's just going to be a repetitive "meeting ginkos" thing

This series is quite excellent. Each episode is like a poem, very thoughtful, perfectly paced, and it just seems to always find the right mood. Roughly put, most of the episodes are self-contained mysteries, there is an occurrence, Gingko gets involved, there is a conclusion. It's much much more than just that though, definitely go check it out.

Great series, from what I have watched, and some of the most stunning animation I have seen.
Just about anyone who's into anime should try to see this one....I just can't say enough good things about it.

Ginko was awesome. I loved his voice-acting and cool demeanor. The girls in the series were quite beautiful in my eyes. (might be me) The plot was definitely interesting, and very unique. I don't know how good the live-action is, but I know that the anime kicks ass. (didn't realize a thread existed for this.)

heh I really do agree that this series is indeed awesome. Has pretty in-depth storyline and keeps the watchers wanting more.

I'm not sure if anybody has posted this specific series before, but if anybody has then i'll inform the mods to delete this thread.
Here's the summary:
They are neither plants nor animals. They differ from other forms of life such as the micro-organisms and the fungi. Instead they resemble the primeval body of life and are generally known as "Mushi". Their existence and appearance are unknown to many and only a limited number of humans are aware of them. Ginko is a "Mushi-shi" who travels around to investigate and find out more about the "Mushi". In the process, he also lends a helping hand to people who face problems with supernatural occurances which may be related to the "Mushi".
This anime doesn't really have a storyline. Each episode is about Ginko solving the problems of people who are affected by these creatures which most people can't see called the "Mushi". The summary may sound very boring at first, but don't let it fool you as it's an AMAZING anime.
Sorry for no pics(except for one). Don't really know how to upload those into a thread haha. However if you want more info about Mushishi, then go to this

The link leads to a review made by some guy who watched the anime. It's a decent review that captured what Mushi-Shi was about and what made me watch it after much hesitation at first.
So go watch it now. Don't waste a minute. Go watch it NOW. Trust me. You'll get hooked.
Feel free to discuss.
