Am I the only one here who thinks that the author really wants Chihiro and Keima to pair up? Cause in the latest chapter it seems that Keima is already having a bit of interest for Chihiro...

You're not the only one; by the end of the chapter I was hoping that something would be said and things would get all vanilla.

I am rooting for Tenri and Keima pairing but I have to agree with you that the author wants Chihiro and Keima pair.

Im actually rooting for Ayumi and Keima, but Chihiro isnt bad too. so if Ayumi doesnt get it I do hope Chihiro does. Tenri is a good choice too considering they are childhood friends but it doesnt seem like the author has any plans for that pairing yet...

Just... just aw.. and I wont bring in a spoiler in a spoiler till people has read it... well its a nice closing for this arc...

though I'm interested on this "completely new story"... more vintage? back to loose soul hunting? fillers before a new arc?

The Memory of My First Love
Spoiler:
That was a bittersweet ending to the Goddess arc. Even though we skipped the fighting, its clear who won. Showing the fight wasn't necessary nor am I criticizing the lack of it. It seems to be implied that a Keima-Chihiro relationship will not develop at all or hang around in an awkward stage for a while.

I'm guessing the goddess girls will have their memories wiped. Has Keima ever cried until this point? The next arc is literally wide open, it could be almost anything. The next chapters will probably be "cool down" stuff covering events after the festival/battle, an epilogue.

The Goddess arc was quite long and quite good. Keima developed quite a bit, and Chihiro came out of seemingly nowhere to become a female lead. I can't imagine what is going to happen next.

I really thought that it would be a Chihiro X Keima Pairing at the end, but then I realized that if it were to happen then that might mean the end of the manga.
Now what I am wondering is how will this new story start. It's a very crucial point since it might make or break the manga.

Looks, like he regretted that decision.
I'm honestly, quite happy seeing Chihiro rise to become a good main character for this arc.

About next chapters--------
My prediction is, Keima will have some sort of depression chapter related to that decision or other silly game related stuff lol, and then back to conquering more girls, until the newest arc is announced.

The Chihiro and Keima relationship is a weird one... I understand Chihiro is heartbroken because she knows about the Goddesses(kinda) but is the one left out, especially when Keima said she has nothing to do with it. I guess she sees that Keima and her will never have any chance of a relationship again, which won't be the case for the other goddess. Saying that... why didn't she think she was 'special' because Keima dated her even if she wasn't a Goddess? She knows perfectly well Keima only 'conquered' those Goddesses for a cause, but not her (tho she doesn't know it was...)
I have to say though, out of all the girls Keima has conquered, Chihiro seems to be the one who is truly emotionally closest to Keima. I think the current 'race' for Keima's heart is probably this:
Elsie
Chihiro
Haqua
Tenri/Diana
Ayumi
Yui
Kanon
Tsukiyo
Shiori
Others
At least, that's my guess

I really am at lost now... I dont know how would they present a new arc... This is exciting and thrilling cause it's the make or break part. Not all mangas are successful in introducing a new arc.

I always knew that Ayumi was really hot but Mercury... GOD!
