"It is currently the Taiheimeji Era. It is a reign ruled by the Tokugawa shogunate. Inside this shogunate, there is a group of warriors that support the government. They are the Manyuu Clan.

In this current era, breasts mean everything. If you have breasts, you are guaranteed wealth and popularity. If you lack them, you are rarely considered "human". Members of the Manyuu Clan help raise the future big breasts. Written on a secret scroll possessed by the clan, there is said to be various techniques on how to grow big and beautiful breasts.

Chifusa is to be successor of the clan. However, she takes the secret scroll and runs away with it, hoping to fight against the cruel world that the Manyuu Clan has created..."

It has a Japanese release date of Summer '11.

It's made by the creators of Seikon no Qwaser.

I'm... watching this. For some reason, as much as the idea is stupid, it's a must-watch for those who like... massive... breasts...

I... think I'm going to pass on this one.

You'd be a fool to think I'm going to ignore this series. After (somewhat) following the manga for several years, glad to see it's finally getting an anime (thus, it will actually get translated! Huzzah!)

I don't know what to make of this... I'm not surprised that there's a series dedicated to telling a story about an era where breasts = wealth/power.

Maybe I'll watch 1-2 eps before dropping it.

It is a not-so-subtle analogy for the common mindset in regards to women in today's popular culture.


Breast implants and tops that are screaming cleavage.

I own 5 volumes of the manga. Although the storyline is a little exaggerated, some of the scenes are quite comedic in nature. In addition, Manyuu Hikenchou will be airing on AT-X, so I am expecting it to uncensored.

I (and I bet a lot of other people) would have been a lot more vocal about the series had the manga actually been translated. The only ones who knew about it were the few lucky randoms and those who are a little TOO into breasts... Guilty as charged. :P

At least with the anime airing, maybe some group will pick up the manga as well? Here's hoping.

I managed to watch the first episode, but completely pissed at the censorship in the episode. but so far the story is good but I want to watch more.

Same. The censorship is particularly bad this season. Calling them beams of light is an understatement.

I just wanted to sit back and relax to some fanservice anime this season after getting badly burnt from a couple anime that I watched last season. But I can't even do that now. *sigh*

Did not peek my interest even if it is uncensored. I have a bunch of other series to watch, so declining on this one.

I will do the same thing I always do, watch a single episode and then decide if I will continue.

Oh, and I forgot to mention...Ahem, "TITZ"!

This show will NOT be watch by me until its uncensored. It to much censoring for my taste that show shouldn't even be on regular TV. Its a shame that it is because how could you watch a show about tits and not see the tits its the main plot and the main focal point, this show needs to come out either on DVD quickly or on a another channel uncensored because as it stands its crap.

I am usually pretty tolerant of censoring, but I must agree this is ridiculously over censored - why even bother to put it on TV if you feel it necessary to blank out the entire screen at times?

Pretty sure anyone who intended to watch this from the start was waiting for uncensored, and with the ridiculous level that they aired, it seems that indeed now EVERYONE will wait for uncensored.

Highly anticipated either way, for me.
