The new season is OK. Not quite as spontaneous as the first, but the jokes are still funny. However, the artwork, as mentioned, is wayyy different from the first season, and the fanservice has increased.
That being said, the first episode is an onsen episode, so what the heck. It sure felt weird listening to the same seiyuus, but having radical changes in the drawing style.

After watching the first episode I'm not sure how I feel about the new style.

The new style makes it seem like another average anime, it's not bad, but it feels just like everything else, the other director had this unorthodox style that fit well to the Minami-ke formula.

So I just started this series, and I'm wondering how I've lived without watching this... It's quite a good show, and seems it's going to be awesome for a while if the 3rd seasons been announced. :D

I just finished Okawari today and even though I didn't like it at first, it was pretty good. Then I decided to look about and before I saw tsujoi's post I saw this http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2008-08-30/young-magazine-to-announce-minami-ke-3rd-season . I'm looking forward to that. Hopefully it will be animated like the first season, but I could manage with either :).
