Synopsis
Kaoru is a 17-year old virgin who has an S&M fetish. He has always dreamt about an SM relationship with his childhood friend Nana, who is looked upon as perfect and is always the target of boys' eyes. Their relationship has somewhat deteriorated through the years, due to them hanging out with different people and because Kaoru is not taking his education too seriously.

One day though, Kaoru's mother gives some of his S&M toys to Nana for safekeeping - Nana finds the leather one-piece that Kaoru bought and tries it on but accidentally locks herself in it and doesn't have the key!

Kaoru frees her of the one-piece, but then Nana realizes she may like Kaoru's hobby more than she thought and subsequently the two of them start engaging in so-called "breathers". These breathers are intended to relieve Nana of stress, stress originating from her attempts at keeping her grades and her name perfect.

idk i thought that that was what they were going to do with Koe de Oshigoto! but they didnt... so there is still hope... not to mention that most of it nvr really shows anything thats all that big of a deal now NtK Arashi would be a different story were it has nudity

to be exact, it's an OAD. Same, but it's in original "disc" format from the start, while OVA animes airs normally like any other anime.

Wow, OAD or OVA, I'm looking forward to it.

The manga is funny yet perverted....wanna see how it translates into being animated :)

Anyone else think Kaoru was miscast? I imagined him having much more of a whinier voice.

That's just you. Kaoru's voice is perfect for the Sadist role.

Yeah. Kaoru's socially awkward nerd/sadist role fits well with the voice. And Nana's inner monologues were friggin' hot.

i loved how the sexual tension was just on MAX the whole time without even having a single explicit scene. i think cus of that, the close-to-explicit scenes they show are just that much better. they communicated that feeling from the characters pretty well.

I agree. I really liked her voice in the OVA, and now I'll finally get around to reading the manga.

I just saw the OVA uncensored of course, and I rather enjoyed it.
The animation style is just like the art style from the manga (which I'm still reading)

I LOL'd at Nana's admitting that she was a pervert like Karou ^_^

Getting back on topic, after reading through the synopsis, I may be tempted to check out the OAD of Nana to Karou. It sounds like a title falling under the ecchi genre.

It's almost borderline hentai, gambler. Lol
Much more borderline than Ladies X Butler and Kanokon a combined.

I can't help feeling awkward watching the anime/reading the manga this while a friend was in my room.

but IT IS an INTERESTING Story.

As for the OAD itself, it was pretty good, though some of the S&M feeling was lost since they were pressed for time. The scene where Kaoru fairly quickly gropes Nana's ass comes to mind regarding that.
