Watched that episode. The art looks similar to the art of Gurren Lagann.
One thing that's out of place that Naruto isn't GAR enough for Gurren Lagann art that is why it looks weird..Also the way Pain ran looks like Looney Toons.

Partly the pose, and partly because they used that one style of animation that is jumpy. Can't remember the name of it off the type of my head.
The one where the frames have the movement really far apart instead of close together.

the fight was epic, so were the many faces of pain like when he was putting more power into the Chibaku tensei and clapped his hands together that one made me cry. but my favorite laugh was when he shot the giant stone on top of kyuubi naruto just as he was going to fire that beam thingy and the explosion sent him backwards into the ground like he was praying.
