Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai

Did Kuroneko tell Kyousuke about Kirino's feelings? That's what it seems like. Subs will tell.

It was great to see all three girls in their maid outfits, Kuroneko was especially cute in hers thanks to her flustered reaction. I especially loved her manga, the second slide had me in tears.

But I was very pleased to see Kirino thank Kyosuke for everything he's done up till now, I'm fine with tsundere's but sometimes they can come across as too bitchy or bratty, for me Kirino was becoming that so this redeemed herself greatly. It's nice to see how thankful she is of Kyosuke and what he does for her.

'Twas pretty freakin' good. Loved seeing everyone in maid outfits, especially Kuroneko and Sasori. Finally get to see a bit more dere from Kirino's tsundere-ness. Manami's part killed me!

But, man, I damn near lost it when Kuroneko started calling Kyosuke "nii-san".

Well like I said before, one thing I really liked about the story is how the characters really grow in it and adapt well. Kirino is one of the major ones to grow and you can see as she become more honest about her hobby and more free with it, she does get better at expressing herself and not lying to herself about what she wants.

Her apology is basically showing all of the growth her character has gone through.

But also don't forget that he also when through growth too. Remember how he was and how he thought at the beginning of the story? Compare that to his reaction and everything he's done up to now? In fact, he's probably grown just as much if not more than Kirino.

Saori is still an interesting character, but she was always going to be an antagonist and so doesn't really develop as much as the other character.

Kuroneko on the other hand is definitely one that has also grown, just not as noticeable as others. But yes, she is freaken adorable. Her sound effects during her manga just made me want to eat her up.

This was a very good episode and it's very obvious to tell the difference between an episode that comes from the novel and one that was made by the studio directly.

What kinda surprised me is his mom's attitude towards porn/hentai. I was expecting her to have more of a narrow minded view like their dad, but it turns out she's rather lax and open on the whole subject. She didn't actually see the game on the laptop, but I'm guessing she isn' stupid. I was really thinking I'd enjoy the scene with Kyou and Manami-chan being together, home alone, but Kirino HAD to ruin it. Why, oh WHY, didn't Kyou just shove the stick up Kirino's ass, and tell her it's none of her business who he's fucking with? When Manami discovered his magazines and eroge, I was hoping that the realization that he had a fetish for glasses would create some sexual tension, and that both, or at least one of them would seize the opportunity and at least make out, if nothing else.

The maid part was better, since Kirino got served and admitted what she actually thought about him... She still has no excuse to be the bitch she was untill now. but at least she confessed, and felt a tiny fragmet of the humility she needs to learn. However, I still don't get why Kyou was so embarrased by people knowing that he had a harem party... If I was in his place, I'd have felt great, and the party would've probably ended with an orgy :D

She has reasons for doing the things she does. Jealously, insecurity, depression from her brother's earlier abandonment, etc. The only times she goes to extreme moments is when she is really provoked, in this case Kyousuke bringing home the one person he relies on and talks to the most pretty much. The person Kirino might feel stole away her brother's attention all that time.

And you seem to completely forget the moments when she does allow her true self to show, such as the confession she made in this episode.

As for your close-minded remarks. His dad is not close-minded. I really don't get why you would think that. He is stern, and concerned but he isn't close-minded. If he was close-minded he would have never allow Kirino to keep her hobby. He also wouldn't have done things like help Kyousuke out by researching material that showed things in a positive light. These are not things a close-minded person does.

Ayase did begin as a bit close-minded. But she is more easily swayed than truly close-minded. And she has shown she is more than willing to try and change a bit if it's for her friend. As in getting a gift anime related and trying to understand a bit of Kirino's hobby. And don't forget that the reason she dislike Kyousuke now is because she thinks he has incestuous feelings towards his sister, her best friend.

Even the other model isn't that close-minded. Or else she would have not admitted the last part of it being fun when asked. But sure, she's probably the closest thing you have to it.

So seriously, stop fucking using close-minded when you don't seem to understand what it fucking mean.

I was pretty happy with this episode until it got to the very end when it mentions the title of the next ep to say [good end], then I was massively disappointed to find that it's only a 12 ep series. I guess since the original media is still ongoing that gives a chance for a Season 2.

The latter half of the episode was definitely my favorite part. Kirino finally thanked Kyousuke and I was like "YES" and then Kyousuke... Not really good at explaining things like this so I'll just leave it at that.

I'm not really sure if I can ask this here due to TOS or something, but I would like to read the Light Novel of OreImo, and I don't know where I can read it, so I was wondering if anyone could direct me to translated versions of it, that would be super great, thanks!

When Kyousuke's mom came into the room, I was expecting her to alt-tab the eroge back up to fullscreen. At the time I was thinking to myself "This woman knows where you hide your porn! Don't let your guard down Kyousuke!"

When Kirino said, "In that case, clean up the living room before you make lunch" I anticipated the Mother-in-law antics. She even did the whole "let's look at where we can find dust and criticize her for it" thing. Oh, Manami, you are such an angel. Even the foulest of creatures do not affect your high spirit.

The eroge/porn double trap was brilliant though. Although I get the distinct feeling that Manami would've been able to find Kyousuke's porn anyway, considering she has "grandmotherly knowledge". Your childhood friend just saw a bunch of your porn which all has one of the major traits of said childhood friend, glasses ... that's a hentai-type situation right there. And then the eroge randomly pops back up. Good joke, eroge developers.

Then comes "Kyousuke's Personal Harem Party" ... Oh man, seeing the look on Kyousuke's face and the receptionist peering over and then ducking out of sight was hilarious. Kuroneko was cute. I can hardly believe she went out of her way to hand make the ears and tail. Kuroneko's doujin had Witch Manami and Candle Play Manami. Too bad we didn't see more of it, it was clearly going to be a great doujin.

Kyousuke finally decides to stop being a dorrmat. Unfortunately, this is Kirino's "Let's make up for the past 8 episodes of shit I haven't thanked you for that will hopefully redeem my character in the audience's eyes" moment so that doesn't last long. Too bad, Kirino, I've already decided I won't forgive you.

And of course, the present is a siscon eroge. "Is he broken?" indeed ...

This was one of the best episodes of the season. For the first half, we had the adorable as hell Manami dealing with Kirino, and I felt really bad for Manami when she was constantly putting down her hospitality. I laughed a lot, though, when Kyousuke desperately tried to cover up his eroge and porn mags. I loved Manami's reaction, though, when she noticed that they all had glasses. I bet that made her feel better about her odds with Kyousuke. :)

The second half was definitely awesome, though. I loved seeing everyone in their maid outfits, and I laughed when Kuroneko posted up her manga and Kirino flipped out. I also thought that Kuroneko was very seductive, especially when she called Kyousuke, "Nii-san." She really is one of my favorite characters of the series.

I thought that it was really touching, though, when Kirino apologized to her brother for her behavior thus far, and thanked him for all he has done for it. There was no way she could have been lying, (with her face all flustered and such), and I was really glad that she did that. I also daww'd when I saw Kyousuke tear up like that. However, my feelings didn't last for long after Kyousuke opened up his package with the eroge inside. I laughed as well, and Saori was right: That was the right reaction for it.
