This is one they absolutely must not fuck up. Especially once it gets dubbed and we get to hear Johnny Yong Bosch vs Johnny Yong Bosch via Main character vs Adachi.

Besides that, Do you guys think the Persona 4 anime will finally spur out more doujins of it? Haven't seen a lot of those in recent days.

I honestly am just looking forward to it, regardless of what it's like.

Yu Narukami is unacceptable.

He is Souji Seta, DAMMIT.

On the doujin matter, there might be a sudden resurgence in P4 material, yes, IF people catch whiff of it again. Think of the new P3 doujins that include the female MC.

I don't really understand why people hate the name change so much.

I bet some think it's cool since it's like Seta Soujirous name from Rurouni Kenshin...

Yu Nawhokami? Must be some new character who will get miserably destroyed by the industry. I hope they seriously change their minds or this guy will forever known as 'the guy who looks like Souji Seta'.

Edit: why the name change is hated is simply because most of the time it also signals a very very bad content change.

the protagonist was nameless in the game, and named as "Souji Seta" too avoid ambiguity in the manga. The manga wasn't by Shouji Meguro, but by Sugabe Shuji

I bet people would have second thoughts IF Shouji Meguro himself named the Character Yu Narukami... lol

For me, it has to do with the fact that in a series like this ie, where you name the character, changing an already "confirmed" name is bound to cause confusion and some angst across the fan base. But, I guess that since the game, manga, and anime are all different continuities, done by different people it's really up to the creative minds what they do.

However, the name YU just sounds too Chinese for me. I guess.

As much as I like Souji Seta, Yu Narukami isn't half bad. But damn it, it's gonna take some getting used to.

I actually like Yu Narukami, since its practically more of an official one from the ones that brought us the P4 game. I support it cuz of that.

How did Shoji Meguro enter this conversation, given the fact that he's only the COMPOSER for the SMT series (no say in story, just music)?

I'm kinda wondering how many episodes it's gonna be. Twenty six, thirteen, or like fifty. Persona 4 was one hell of a long game taken the whole length of it. I hope they draw it out too by not making Yu an abstinent hero. I don't care if they make him go with someone a lot of fans don't like, but just make him go with someone by the end seeing as a lot of people finished the game with him having like six girlfriends. From the trailers it looks like they're gonna go all the way through, or at least most of the way since Rise is in them.

Trailers are being released corresponding to the dates from the game. So whoever appears on the TV world before October (seeing as thats the month the anime is will start showing) will be the highlight of the newest trailer.

First things first, Shouldn't this be merged with the Persona 4 thread in the Anime section?
Secondly, will the anime take the Social Links into account? If so then the anime should be longer than 13 episodes, so its not all clustered in one episode.

Anyone hoping one (or maybe some) of the female Social Links get turned into a romance and see what turns into canon? Although, to keep it balanced, I'm guessing they might go with the friend path everyone regardless. I'm kinda glad the option was available in the game; made it feel like you CAN be friends with a girl with have to hit on her all the time.

Man, the whole cheating mechanic of Persona 3 was a little too much! -_-
