Romantic Comedy Harem Type Shows

0
I've been in the mood for some lately.

I've seen:

Chobits
DearS
Dokuro-chan
Girls Bravo
Green Green
Haruhi
Love Hina
Lovely Complex
Onegai Sensei
Onegai Twins
School Days
Zero no Tsukaima

And a bunch of others I can't remember right now. Also, I want more anime that features large tits like Grenadier, Godonnar, Gravion, etc.

Any help would be appreciated, since I'm too busy looking up other shows to watch.

Ah my Goddess is a great series along that theme, Keiichi has 3 goddesses come to live with him (Love Belldandy and Urd <3), and try Divergence Eve for girls with large boobs in somewhat unrealisticly tiny uniforms.

That's a pretty good list you have going already, off the top of my head I can see a few titles are missing (although I haven't watched all of them).

School Rumble
Princess Tutu (heard amazing things)
Hanaukyo Maid Team - La Verite
He Is My Master (assuming it gets romantic)
Umisho (assuming it gets romantic)

And for manga I recommend I"s, don't let the cover deceive you.

I'm interested to see some more suggestions though.

Tenchi (including spinoffs like GXP) -- the flagship of harem anime
Hanaukyo Maid (which is way too ecchi compared to the rest listed)
Ranma 1/2 (few romantic moments, though)
El Hazard
Saber Marionette J
Mahoromatic
Vandread

On Jacob's request, here's a list of recommendations. My favourite genre happens to be Romance/School Life (comedy is nice, but don't really like harems much). As you may be able to tell, I'm more of a manga person than an anime person.

So out of the top of my head, here goes:

Bitter Virgin - Ahh. How fitting that we start with this one. A very innocent and sweet romantic manga; a shy, timid girl, scared of every male in the world because of her dark past, and your typical ladies man who has fallen for her... This is a must read.

Girls Saurus and GSDX - By the same author as Bitter Virgin. It's your typical ecchi comedy romance manga, but I prefer Bitter Virgin a million times more.

Ichigo 100% - This was the first shounen romance series I ever read, and so it has a very special place in my heart. The manga is very good (for the first time though; it's not something you can reread), but the anime sucks.

I"s - The second shounen romance series I ever read. Can be overdramatic at times (leaves you kinda going "right. what now?"), but it has a very strong premise and beautiful art. The story execution could be better though.

School Rumble - I recently started reading this one, despite being in the midst of my finals. HILARIOUS, although I'm not sure how funny it is in English, since a lot of the humour is derived from puns, characterisation (including use of language), and random moments. With some nice girls to boot, this series is win.

Salad Days - I'm amazed no one knows about this series. Salad Days isn't so much a series per se, but it basically a collection of high school romance stories. Deals a lot with love, relationships, friendship etc. It's got great art as well.

Suzuka - Another great shounen romance series. Love, ecchi, sports; it's pretty serious, and sometimes the main characters can get a little frustrating, but if this is your type of manga, you will love this one.

Pretty Face - A really funny manga about a martial arts champion suddenly undergoing emergency plastic surgery and ending up with the face of his crush. Unfortunately, his crush thinks that he's her long lost sister. If that description doesn't interest you enough, then I guess don't bother with this series, because it's rather bland in its execution; but it is funny at times, and it has great artwork.

Mx0 - By the same mangaka as Pretty Face. It started off pretty strong, although it's kinda filler material now. Anyway, it's about your typical average high-school guy who accidentally got accepted into a magic school. Ecchi, great art, and funny moments.

To Love Ru - I prefer this one over Mx0. Great cast, awesome humour, and very good artwork. Is about your typical high-school guy (again) who has this giant crush on this cute girl. One day, he goes home and finds a nude girl in his house; the humour centers mainly on her gadgets, and there are LOTS of ecchi moments in this one.

Maison Ikkoku - By the mangaka of Ranma 1/2 and Inuyasha. Her art isn't very clean, but this is probably one of the best romance manga I have ever read. 'Nuff said.

Now for some shoujo series. (Yes I read shoujo. Got a problem with that?) I tend to find the best romance plots in this genre though. Shounen manga have so much ecchi sometimes they lose out on storyline strength.

Kare Kano - A phenomenal series. Is about the two most perfect students you could ever think of: the girl is smart, pretty, athletic... pretty much perfect. So is the guy, pretty much. But both of them are merely trying to be perfect for other reasons...

Marmalade Girl - The mangaka of this manga has some of the best artwork I've ever seen in my life. This is one of her earlier series, but it has a very strong storyline. The story is complex and there are a lot of characters, but it's very, very good. A must read/watch (not sure how good the anime is though).

Lovely Complex - Hilarious. There's an anime adaptation, and I recommend this to everyone. It's about a girl who's too tall, and a guy who's too short. They initially each have their own love interests, but events turn out that they... you know. Watch it.

I have tons more recommendations and could go on and on, but I'll stop here. I didn't include anything I haven't read/watched yet or anything I thought people would already know lots about here, but I hope you'll find some of these recommendations to your liking.

i'd like to quote on that one

directed by the same guy who did NGE but just like that anime, it was totally messed up near the end of it.... but it's really good for the first half of the series

I see we share similar interests in manga, particularly, To Love Ru and Salad Days. By any chance, have you read School of Water Business by the same artist of Salad Days.

GachaGacha, as well as all 3 seasons of Boys Be, deserves some mention too. :)
