I've been keeping an eye on there series and I think it's brilliant. I'm really looking forward to more development in the overall story. Though the ending to the fifth episode was rather depressing, even if it was a dream.

I thought that Episode 9 of Ika Musume was very cute.
Spoiler:
I especially enjoyed the first half, with Ika finding a friend in Kiyomi. It was very amusing to see Ika getting all flustered about inviting Kiyomi over without permission, and neat to see the gang genuinely treating Ika well. I definitely hope to see more of Kiyomi and Ika in the future.

The second half was quite good as well, with Ika trying to do makeup on herself. I liked how they spotlighted a good amount of Japanese fashion trends, (like Ganguro girls). It was especially amusing to see Sanae-chan get so worked up over Ika's appearance, though. I always love seeing her yuri antics come to life.

As for the last part, I didn't really like it too much. Whenever the alien people are involved, I just don't find it to be very amusing. At least it had an appearance of badass Chizuru, though.

She is saying "nai ka" with a play on words with the "na[size=13]i ka[/h]" "nai ka" basically means "isn't it?"

Each episodes ED always has something a little different then the others, episode 9 has got to be my favorite ED so far, the song is just goes so well with the scene, Ika and Kiyomi holding hands on the beach, its just so cute ^^

I agree each having a slightly diff ending is pretty good but was ep9 ending the best one? i think i prefer the lil ika musume one better. btw, this show is awesome

Yea that one was a cute one, but it just wasn't the same feeling as with EP9 ED, IMO, more or less its how the image shown conveys the songs words and feelings I believe 9's ED does a great job doing so. But that's just me going into it too much huh ^^;

yea this show is awesome I love each and every episode ^^

I already knew Ika would use her tentacles while playing baseball. Amazing at everything still! =]

I find it quite interesting how Ika is so fail at doing things with her hands, but so ridiculously skilled at everything when using her tentacles.

I agree. I was very surprised that Ika's tentacles could produce such awesome pieces of art. I especially liked Sanae's drawing.

Speaking of her, it was amusing, (but a little bit sad), seeing her struggle with her Ika addiction, overcoming it, and then relapsing in the end. Sounds like someone needs to attend an Ika rehab center, eh?

And the baseball part was just epic and exciting. I wish they would include more action oriented sequences like that.

OMG dolls are extremely terrifying. I am very very disturbed... Seriously, fuck dolls. Anyways, it was funny how the dolls' names were Johnny and Depp, that was the only redeeming point.
Chizuru is awesome. I really do have to wonder whether or not she's something more than human...
What the hell kind of mountain were they on? Why would there be king cobras...
Yea, this was a fun episode overall. Too bad the dolls scared me.
Sad that the next ep is gonna be the last T.T

Yeah...those dolls were definitely horrifying. I almost felt like this was a Halloween episode, with the dolls, and Chizuru acting all scary. I also felt bad for Ika having to climb up the whole mountain instead of the cable car, but I guess she learned to appreciate nature in the process, so it wasn't a bad thing.


And I can't believe that next week is the last episode. It went by so quickly.

I really, I mean, REALLY hate those kinds of those, to be honest, I was actually being as scared as Ika-chan during the segment >.< I guess I'll become a creepy doll hunter -_-


Aside that, great ep like always, still, last episode next week, I'll miss you Ika-chan T_T

A bit late to the party, but I finally started watching the series after seeing random images of Squid Girl all over the place and I must say the series is hilarious brilliant degeso. It's also nice how they have 3 mini-stories in each episode degeso.
