SNK or Capcom

Whats your fighting side

just to mention that my opinion below is not about those company in general gaming but only in fighting mainly between kof and street fighter as this 2 games really define both companies fighting game, and also the animation if there's any that good for this 2

SNK
I started like Capcom before in street fighter and all other mix series like xmen, and so on. but then i find it to be dull with slow gamplay, stupid combo which is all combo able like any other nameless company fighting games. more over the design of characters not as cool as SNK.
Capcom fighting however, as they are the first to invent the fighting in street fighter, yet they never change, only they still have their faithful fan that wont even glance and give a chance to SNK

recently they make an OVA of kof very well done for a very short OVA. ofcourse other anime lover would not find it interesting as it has no real story inside but just a sketch of what happen in kof. well done Snk-playmore. Of all the fighting hero, I like Kyo is the best, whats more he have change of default costum that nice since kof99 and latest is kof maximum impact. In the OVA he is in the new costume, no more wearing japanese school outfit. Funny i look at street fighter even after coming to 3d their costum never change. or probably they though ken or ryu would lose their personality and nobody ever gonna recognize if not wearing those white and red karate outfit

Capcom is like the orthodox and somehow gets boring and repetitive

same with SNK but they have those Samurai and Ninja XD (The Last Blade, Samurai Showdown)


some of the best fighting games IMO are not from them though:
Guilty Gear, Eternal Fighter Zero and Melty Blood

on fight tehcnicallity on combo strings and juggle, melty blood is excellent even though being a doujin base.

guilty gear is broken, the very same feeling i got from new 2d SNK game (kof2004,neowave and so on) with their new fighting game engine and coming out in ps2. thankfully snk also make a great 3d kof to remedy my frustation over their new 2d fighting game engine. you see, fighting game is not all about the graphic quality. of course with the new 2d fighting game engine, they have better graphic and better sound but the tech and mech of the game is not as good as before.

eternal fighter zero is also broken and have too many characters imbalance. well its a doujin base, i cant expect too much but melty blood can do better, why not this

Well, I like them both. But I only play the 2D fighting games, I like the combos and game graphics, 3D fight is rather slow.

But if you insist I'll choose SNK, I like Samurai Spirits and KOF.

those 3d steeet fighter EX series is obviously slow, but i cant say those 3d kof especially kof max impact revolution A as slow. just that Ash is too overpower, easyand cheap character to use. hate it when soo many people tend to put him as last character and defeat all 3 opponent characters just to make it like a big comeback, yeah cheap dirty comeback

Never learned any of the SNK games so I'll go with Capcom
SSBM for win and best/hardest to master fighting game ever though =)

I like kof better more characters and the girls are harder to fight also

yeah, like Mai, Yuri, Kula, Blue Mary... especially when people controlling them. ooh sexy Mai, get my vote for the sexiest fighting character ever

uhm yeah sexiest pirate captain of group name Lilien Night. I never really played her even since Garou, since her moves have so many opening, except if you do it in combo successfully connected first. oh yeah, her real name is Jennie Behrn in KOF MI2 profile.

Back to Mai, well... you all must have known that she is kinda like the female sex symbol of KOF and then followed by Athena and Blue Mary. While male sex symbol for KOF is weirdly Sie Kensou. Official pairing (or probably non-official) of them is Mai-Andy,Athena-Kensou,Mary-Terry. but its really fun to look them change partner in H manga, especially Mai-Kensou. **sigh** if only they have H anime of them.

Even though Mai is a sex symbol, she lose at bust measurement. As told in wiki, biggest bust in KOF is
1)Shermie, Angel = 92cm
2)Blue Mary, Mature = 88cm
I never really see them bust bouncing except Mai and Blue Mary

as an arcade fighting gamer like me, I cant consider it as a fighting game. To me its more like an action games or button mashing games, jumping around and avoid falling down. Oh well, you still fight in that game, heck all kind of games usually have fighting, like rpg and so on. :roll:

If you aren't talking about gameplay, then I am going with SNK. Mai Shiranui was the first character that brought me into the world of hentai. :D

Nonetheless, both companies have come up with classic games over the years.

I agree street fighter is cool but I like kof better that all

i vote capcom since they where the 1st. like in 3D games, i'm still into virtual fighter rather than tekken. reason? they where the 1st to do it.

That fact that the SNK characters work better in the Capcom engine then the Capcom characters do in Capcom vs SNK 2 should say it all.

Oh and Rock is SNK and he's friggen awesome.
