So... i re-watched Spirited Away

So...after several years(6) ...i finally got to re-watch Spirited Away.
As a kid the first things that i remembered of the movie was the foreign emotion it gave me, and is still to this day - otherworldly.
Rewatching it, i realize the great many things that this movie captures was not necessarily the plot - Myazaki's idealistic virtue is not to my taste if you know what i mean, but its atmosphere.
An atmosphere is something beyond an emotion - beyond description. However you can always try.
I can't relate on how it felt, but what similar situation it felt like - it felt like parting ways with someone, forever. A feeling that you can't describe, but that you have a feeling that your life will have changed to no return.
It's that tinge of air, so to speak. Anybody know what i am talking about?

Miyazaki's movies are all atmosphere, considering that a handfull his famous ones such as Kiki's Delivery Service and Howl's Moving Castle are based off of novels and other media.
the otherwordly and mystical nature is what makes his movies so great. you feel like you're watching a whole different world from ours, rather than just a movie.
my favorite Miyazaki is Princess Mononoke btw.
