I didn't have much of a problem with Simon either. Yoko wasn't as bad but she didn't sound nearly as hot. It was the person who did Yukari from Persona 3. But seriously, Kamina needed to be perfect. He's fucking Kamina.

I am watching it. I jsut want someone to give me a brief summary of what it's about.a man(kamina) from an underground society dreams of reaching the surface with his buddy(simon), his buddy finds a mecha buried only to fight a mecha piloted by a beastman who crashed through the ceiling... they proceed to meet people on the surface and understand there termoil with the consistenly attacking beastmen. the story basically follows the crew trying to overthrow the dominating beast men with the ideology that theyve done nothing wrong.

Hmmmm. Though I haven't yet seen the dub, I decieded to look up the voice actors for the dub and i have to say... they did such an incompetant job casting his role, it's embarrising. This is why dubs get shit thrown at them all the time (well one of them :? ). I can think of a few other voice actors that would do better as Kamina right now.

Even though his voice was horrible, there is the fact that two different dubbers did the casting(Bang Zoom, and ADV) and I don't really know which one is the one we saw, there's still hope. But despite all that, I will buy the DVD because I LOVE GURREN-LAGANN, and I will support the series because of it. MY DRILL IS THE DRILL THAT WILL PIERCE BAD DUB CASTING OF BADASS, MANLY CHARACTERS.
