Hopefully a season three with no shenanigans will air sometime in the near future, otherwise, the series is pretty much doomed to failure. It's a shame, I really do like the show. (First season, anyway. Second was... eh.)

I heard about the second season waaaay too late. 9 episodes were already out when I heard about it. This actually saved me because I was warned about the Endless 8 episodes, so I only watched the 1st and 8th episodes of Endless Eight. This saved my inner rager from being released.

just started watching this second season.....and fuck, the repeat of episodes makes me wanna drop the series........what episode will this fucking summer repeat end? (iv watch ep1-6,2-6 are the summer 17th-30th one)

just 8 episodes getting the repeating style. just 8~ better than living it with 14k times...
poor nagato.
poor nagato.

Kyon should have just started the end of the days in one of the Endless 8. Could have just bitch slapped and raped her on the first day and cancel out the endless summer. Course, the world will be destroyed after that but taking up Koizumi's advice is my second option.

q: will haruhi and kyon be lovers??They better be. I don't see any point to this show if they don't end up together.

the second season was a huge disappointment, repeating the same ep over an over again HUGE FAIL!!; still love Haruhi, hopefully they will redeem themselves an make an extremely awesome third season

Well I think the Endless Eight is the most interesting things the anime has done. I can say it's a personality test based on how you reacted to it.
it just depends on what point of view you're watching it from. my theory is that for The Endless eight (or the anime in general) the point of view comes in 4 forms.
Haruhi- Extremely rare, Hardcore otaku, they're the ones that are disappointed after they stopped at 8, if they had haruhi's powers i hope they release some more content quick
Nagato- Rare, Watching this series is just another duty to an anime fan or a reviewer. You feel that you must, as a patron, watch every episode and most of the time you're enjoying it. But after the endless eight you feel a little exhausted and if asked the most you can say about it is "unique" with no negative opinions whatsoever because it is what it is.
Kyon- majority, It's interesting but all the ordeals are troublesome, you like Haruhi but you see her as annoying. You watch the series with the feeling that it'll work out and it'll be enjoyable. In the endless 8 case, you feel sorry for yourself and every around you who has to deal with Haruhi's antics, you pretty much give up half way through the eight, and leave your summer homework unfinished cause it's going to repeat any way, but then you know the only way you know it's going to end is to watch the last episode and finally do that summer homework. doesn't mean you hate the series though.
and to describe my type.
Koizumi- Minority, you say Haruhi is a fun and fantastic anime, you feel that although some episodes might drag on and be tiring, but you know it could've been worse and love the anime for it's good points while not thinking too much about the bad. Taking down a few closed spaces isn't too bad. The endless eight was just a unusually tough closed space and as usual you're just happy Kyon finally figures it out and saves the whatever. After watching the endless eight you can't help but to shrug, smile, and keep watching.
I can't think of one for Mikuru though...
But the reason why everyones loves this anime is because they have so much to relate to with the main character. I guess that's why the Kyon type is the Majority.
