Toradora Episode 1

Well here it is! Episode one baby! Woot! Instead of writing about the entire episode like I did with that one Soul Eater episode, I'm just gonna talk about it.

I got a good feeling after watching the first episode. It got me really excited about the rest of the series. I had my doubts at first because I thought that the style was too different from the manga. But I was very wrong. I thought it fit well and looked very good.

I also noticed a few different things in the anime. Such as Taiga leaving through the front door and not the window. Also just poking a whole in the door and not crashing through the whole thing. There was also the part where she fell out of the locker, but I thought that was hilarious. There were a couple more but for the most part I thought they were done very well and it didn't matter that they didn't stay completely on with the manga. Oh yeah, Ryuuji's mom wasn't as hot. lol

There's also the issue with people disliking Rie as the voice of Taiga. I thought she was awesome though! Her voice wasn't as high pitched as I had thought it would have been. I loved it.

So what are your guys' thoughts? Did you enjoy it? Are you looking forward to more?

Yeah, I'm looking forward to it. And in case of Rie as Taiga, maybe people got bored and their prediction is right that Rie's voice will always be reserved for Tsundere, loli characters. It's just way too predictable. I even predicted that Taiga's friend, Minori would be voiced by Horie Yui (also predicted her as Kawasumi Ayako).

But looking at the seiyuu cast of this anime, this will be a good one.

i read the manga and i liked it very much so i had high hops for this..and it met my expectations....
my favorite part was when she ran into the locker and all the desk were like thrown every were lol then she rolled out of it..i swear to god i died from that then came back to life.

and yes i saw many little changes like how he wasn't in his bedroom when he was attacked, cuz i swore he was. i also dont remember her punching him when they bumped.

i also agree that her voice wasn't as high as i thought it was going to be also but i was still satisfied with it...
all in all i give this a 8/10 cuz i thought it was great just some things here and there....

I like it so far. Although, hearing Louises voice again is a downside for me. Wish they'd hire someone else to play the part. It's not that she isn't good, it's just old and played out now.

It is Toradora, therefore it was enjoyable. It looks like the anime will blaze past the manga. I still don't like Rie doing the voice of Taiga though. Kitamura sounded deeper than I had imagined, but it fit with his responsible attitude.

I was also a little disappointed that it didn't follow the manga perfectly, but it still did an awesome job and I think I am going to love the season.

Wow, 5 minutes in, and I'm digging it, I totally forgot that Takasu was feared for his looks, looks like the anime didn't. And Minori voice was perfect! I thought to myself,"If they got her so spot on, then Taiga shouldn't be a disappointment", and the musical score was pretty cool as well, I genuinely liked the piece that started playing when Taiga was about to make Takasu her dog. And Rie, well done my lady, well done.

Every time I hear Taiga's voice actor say 'baka', it's like a thousand needles are being jamed into my ears.

I honestly feel that they did an excellent job with this show. I ended up watching it again and it really hit me how perfect everyone fit. Kitamura, Kushieda, Ryuuji, even Inko-chan! They all sounded exactly how I imagined. And is it just me or does Ryuuji look really awesome?

Don't watch Shakugan no Shana then. :lol:

Word. I absolutely agree with you. I especially loved the part when the two main characters bump into each other for the first time, and Taiga was like, "Errrr?!?!" *cue in mean glare* Loved that part.
