Tragic Anime Couples Who Deserve Better?

Saber and Shirou from Fate/ Stay Night? the ending was sad T^T so instead of asking why, lets ask why not

I'm reserving my judgment on whether or not they count until after F/HA is translated (It better have a better ending for them, god dammit!)... And, at the very least, there's the UBW Good End...

But it ended with them being together forever...

Ah Yes. I Just Recently Saw The Last Episode Again. Just When Saber Finally Said How She Felt Towards Shirou.

I don't get why people think Clannad was bad in regards to couples who deserve better. Yeah it was sad, but then the show pulled up out of it's nose dive of being drepressing at the very end.

Are you referring to Code Geass? because if you're saying that rape/killing/rampages would be a better alternative then of course I disagree. But I still believe that there are other alternatives. I think a thread asking people what they think would of been better would certainly show several good alternatives. Code Geass is a dark show, that is why they changed it's air time to a later time in Japan, but that isn't the point I wanted to make.
