While I don't hate Shinji, actually I find his personality to right for his upbringing and setting of Evangelion, but his is, by any 'normal' person's standards one of the whiniest characters in anime. My vote goes for him.

Probably from all the anime's I watched, the top faggot/emo/whiny bitch/pussy/everything-not-wanted-in-a-person would be Shinji, although i have to say a few came close (only halfway though): Main character from Myself;Yourself, Main character from H2O Footprints in the Sand (i'm srry, even though he's blind, the one episode where they go back to him being blind made me believe he was very dellusional), and also (mentioned by someone else previously) Luke von Fabre. Omg Luke in the beginning was one of the biggest assholes i've ever seen in a video game ahah.
