I'm a Gundan fan and liking it, the character designs are a bit...
The mechs are cool. good to see a new time line, more closely related to our future rather than ac or uc timelines.
Good to see a somewhat original story line as well. That's what disapointed me about Seed, basicly an update of an old series at the start =p

personally i think 00 isn't the bad, the main character lacks of emotion(which i dont really like)but i will still watch it(slowly)!

i think the new gunndam series is pretty good. i have no idea why people don't like it? the story is pretty unique and thats saying something as all other series seem to have two huge mobile suit armies clashing. i think the concept of aerodynamic mass produced low spec cannon fodder is very realistic compared to all the countries possessing squadrons of gundam knockoffs. in comparison, of course the gundams seem over powered, but compared to other gundam series, they are quite weak. but im interested in the green "GN" particles they use as propulsion, shield, and jamming, the exia freaking hovers all over the place. they have great possibility of greater mobility against gundams from other series.
no characters. man-made humans and child merceneries aside. the characters have very little introduction before the action begins. but i just personally love the female character designs. especially sumeragi's huge cleavage in the last two episodes. im also kinda already pissed at tieria's condescending attitude though.
no about the set up. i think the concept of stopping war is not too unique, but the way they carry it out is very interesting. they plan out the whole thing like a giant chess game while reading ahead of the world by several moves. they actions are all very intellectually stimulating if you read into their intentions. i think their objective is not to destroy all giant powers and take over themselves, but to nurture a dominating power by taking out small powers and having them purposely assimilate into bigger nations. its interesting to see how things play out as they manipulate the world while everyone thinks that they are profiting.

Mass-produced cannon fodder is not very original in the Gundam series. You see this in almost every one, where grunt suits can only compete with inexperienced pilots or other grunt suits.
GN Particles, this is the same as the Minovsky Particle in Universal Century.
Only thing I can say that really sounds unique thus far is Celestial Being.

well i was never acquainted with the old series. i only watched from wing and up.
what i meant by the mass produced grunts is the original designs of the grunts. rather than copying zakus or goufs, gundam 00 has some bulky looking, weakly outfitted transforming airplanes as the grunt.

none of the people who hate seed so much because of the `godly' power of kira yamato realize that kira is not so `godly' as they say.They even never realizes that kira had been so close to death in some battles.The first one is the battle of kira n waltfeld, second is the battle with Athrun n thirdly the battle with Shinn Asuka in Destiny.Yeah, Strike Freedom is toooooooo powerfull for a gundam to exist.Thats is the specialty, but the OO is even sucks.Its not about the grunt MS can easily give pressure to the Meisters is interesting, its about the strategy n tactics played by some character who plan it all.Like a human take down an elephant.If u think it back, how could a human can kill an elephant so easily?Its about strategy man.....SEED script writer is not clever enough to make a good strategic scene like OO.OO also have the second worst designing mecha in any gundam series.The first one must be Turn A of course.How can the gundams fly without an engine?wow!GN particles is so powerfull!but people never see this as an exaggerating like Strike Freedom in Destiny.....so, OO never be an improvement for the predecessor....

In my honest opinion I don't like Gundam and I most likely never will. To get to the point of this post let me say this. Any Gundam vs any Vandread the outcome is the same Vandread would win no matter how shiny your mechas are.

The quesiton is, can the Vandread be called a Realistic Mecha or a Super Mecha? (Surely it's called the Super Vandread for a reason) 'Cause the Super Mecha Die Buster seems hard to top.
