I simply do not feel that $12.95 is worth it. Canceled my membership and do not plan to renew it.

What can we do to improve it? We want everyone to be happy with their subscription

I personally feel that the amount of content released daily is not enough to justify $12.95 a month. If the fee was around 7-8 dollars a month I'd gladly pay that.

Here is a question for you. Have any plans to add video content into the subscription? If so, that would change my stance on paying $13 a month.

I'm kind of thinking the same. I mean lets compare it to other subscription services.

Shonen Jump from Viz = ~$20 a year! Now more work goes into fakku content but still I would guess chapters per a month will be pretty close to each other.

Netflix = $8 month for just streaming. I mean that's HD video but not instant release of stuff.

Crunchyroll = $7/month or $60/year This includes Anime, Drama's, and manga. Also offers free videos(not that matters in this instance).

Spotify = $10 a month for more music than I could possibly imagine using. Or a free ad supported option but I don't mind paying for music that I listen to every day.

I get fakku is kind of new kind of service but it just seems expensive relative to my other subs. Especially when it doesn't even include things like the books.

Unfortunately because we are an adult service, specifically adult, there are a lot more costs that go into actually providing a subscription. I won't get into the specifics, but banks and credit card companies and everyone else demand a lot more out of us than if we were a normal all ages company (like Crunchyroll or Netflix). So the current subscription has that included in the price while still allowing us to grow and pick up more magazines and artists.

I would also point out that Shonen jump is just now starting to simulcast specific titles (which I could be wrong but is a separate subscription fee?), and they don't produce the full Japanese magazine for an English audience. Viz does what they can but also select just the titles the want to license and release the books to.

You are correct they have started to translate Platinum End by Tsumugi Ohba and Takeshi Obata, however they don't include it with WSJ. They charge $1.00 a month for each individual new chapter.

Likewise another company Yen Press does the same thing with select titles. However they charge more. Sometimes as much as $2.99 for chapters with large page counts.

In the end no one is entitled to entertainment and ultimately you get what you paid for.
