Anime Expo might still be a few months away, but we're already busy planning for the event. Just like last year, we want to announce a number of titles during our panels, so we'll probably hold off on announcing new books for the next two month's update. Of course, this won't have an impact on the release schedule leading up to the event, and we'll make up for it by having a big reveal with multiple titles during AX in early July!

Book Releases in April

This month you can pick up the latest book by Kisaragi Gunma, which we'll be releasing as It's a Straight Line Once You Fall in Love!

The focus of this entire book is on a club that practices Seikodo, the way of sexual intercourse. The protagonist, Kiyosato Asahi, is very hesitant when he's first brought there by his friend, but he quickly changes his mind when he finds out that the girl of his dreams, Hotaka Kanade, is joining the club. The two are eventually paired up together, and the rest of the story follows the fresh Seikodo practitioners on their journey to their first official tournament, the annual Rookie Meet.

Today we're happy to announce that we'll be bringing you Let's Do It (title subject to change), the debut title from saitom!

This is a special book because we were contacted by the artist themselves about publishing their work! It's exciting to think that word of our releases are spreading in Japan, and that more artists are acknowledging their overseas fans. Late last year when we were first approached about localizing the book, we knew that it was popular, but we didn't know it would turn out to be one of the best selling titles of 2015, even placing first on some lists!

It has also received praise from people within the industry, such as being endorsed by Gen Urobuchi, creator of the Fate/Zero light novels and series composition/script writer for the Puella Magi Madoka Magica anime. The book itself contains guest illustrations by Okama, the author of Hanafuda, and Shigeto Koyama, whose work includes projects like the Gurren Lagann TV series (design works) and the Rebuild of Evangelion movies (design, key animation).

I've begun to look forward towards these monthly updates as they always seem to contain lots of exciting news and announcements, written in an easy going but incredibly positive way and it never fails to make me smile! A joyful force in the industry that truly connects with the consumers! Anyhow, just want to express my wholehearted gratitude to you amazing people for doing what you do!

Great moves, keep it up? :>

Nice! so, i gotta just gotta ask but whats so special about this new one? isn't it just another hentai? i checked it out and it seem kinda generic. anyway ill still buy it.

It is but this one received praise from some pretty popular people so this book is getting a major market boost. Its not bad though art wise pretty standard and story seems good but yeah its pretty generic.

Why would those influential and respected people recommend a hentai book? I find it hard to believe that's out of actual admiration for the story or anything. I could be wrong, of course

Dude generic, what? Quality art, quality oppai, NGGHHH inducing vanilla, a bit of non fat/ gross guy NTR, school girls. What more do you need in ur life?

I like Saitom's stuff, so I'll be buying this :^)

Most like the old one release it was super vanilla. So this one will be. Very happy about released but so many betters ones out there. Problem getting writer or whoever on our ship. Why we pretty much only have same writers/drawers. Love if the can pull few more gus on. Specially if they can pull in different types. They all make money. But will take time. Since us true fans will support hentai world so it can.be great as we wish. Only if we lived in japen

Saitom was already dabbling in illustrations here and there before making it big first by designing a fire emblem character then

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/people.php?id=113891

And his popularity stuck with porns, I suppose.

Most of the books ranking #1 in Japan are like Saitom's. 2014 was Hisasi, 2013 again Hisasi, 2012 was Koinaka by Lunch, 2011 was Gunma's Sweethearts followed by Tosh's Harem Time and Hajirai Break (Homunculus), 2010 was Tosh's Menkui. The top tier rankings are usually quite a bit vanilla, with some oddity in between (which could be Shindo L or loli or even loli rape).

I've been working on the book and I have to say I've been quite fond of it. His drawing ability is quite nice, and the personalities a lot of the females is something I appreciate a lot. There's some of the typical shy they like it so they're embarrassed, but a good portion of females are not so much femdom, but have no problem taking charge of having sex with their partners.

Oh, my God, Saitom is getting licensed! This is awesome! I already loved Saitom, I had no idea Gen freaking Urobuchi endorsed their stuff! This is awesome news~!

Hentai is a recognized and striving industry in Japan, so it gets me excited to hear that folks like Shigeto Koyama and Gen Urobuchi are helping it grow more.

Mr.Everwood will see you now ;)
So now Gunma will the the third artist who'll get a second book published by FAKKU, I hope that just as with Bosshi and NaPaTa it will be even better than the first one.

Also, a book endorsed by Gen Urobuchi with guest illustrations from Okama and Shigeto Koyama, placing first on some lists of best hentai of 2015, and the artist contacted you directly? Holy shit! This book looks like a big deal, guess I'd better read it when it comes out. Or who am I kidding, I'll always read anything FAKKU publishes ;)
