Ive been wanting to buy some... but yeah... I imagine it will become a hobby as bad as figure buying... and ill never survive it. lol And i dont even know where to get the appropriate pillows for it so if anyone knows where to get them, tell me so that i can proceed to my death. lol. Im ok with not surviving >.>

It's a niche hobby and that's why they are priced to offset the costs of printing and the artists. Anytime you see a cover that is under $100 and from a Chinese or US website, you should do due diligence and make sure it's not a fake/copy. While the cheap(er) prices might seem tempting, I feel it's not right to rip off the original artists/printers.

Covers are also printed in smaller batches and sometimes become collectors items (for example I looked for a year+ for a specific Rin Tohsaka cover), so they go up in price really fast ($400 and up sometimes).



The Dakimakura thread has a lot of information regarding this. It depends if the cover is 150cm, 160 or 170cm long.

Went through 10 pages in search of a place to get the actual pillow, failed to find a place :p.

Alternatively, you could just get a standard body pillow from the likes of Bed Bath & Beyond along with a standard throw pillow and call it a day. The throw pillow isn't as "sturdy" as a body pillow, but you really don't need it to be sturdy where your body isn't. You just need it to maintain integrity.

Well, then... Research shows a few chapters I really like and a few not quite my favorites. Still, the good outweighs the bad, I guess the order will be quite nice. Now to see what the fourth December book will be...

Any chance you can switch shipping to flat rate if you buy all 3 books?

It would be $25 for 3 books with priority, should be much cheaper if you use flat rate packaging (around $13 ish I think).

Lol it's why I'll probably wait till the new year to order some of these. Added Hanukkah to my list of holidays this year thanks to my bf and along with an anniversary coming up/buying for friends/family, not to mention a trip or two... will have to see what I'm left with if anything after all of that lol.
