Hello everyone!
Some of you may know me already, I've been a part of the FAKKU community for a number of years. I started as a moderator, worked as a typesetter, taken care of you as an admin, sold you some t-shirts and manga and spoke at conventions, and finally am in charge of bringing Wani's ero manga to you.
Anytime you receive one of our new FAKKU Books releases, it is what I envision.
YQII is in charge of the translation from Japanese to English and him and I work on lines to try to bring you as close to the original Japanese while also trying to localize it to an extent. I do not know Japanese myself, but I definitely have been a part of the community and enjoy the Japanese language enough so that I have a grasp of concepts and phrases. I very much enjoy this aspect of the job and upcoming titles such as "NTR^2" will be very fun to try to localize lines while keeping true to the Japanese.
I have had some work as a typesetter myself in Photoshop but working with Indesign is a bit different. Our typesetters are well versed but I feel that I have en eye for aesthetics. I have a vision in my head for a lot of bubbles and help to make sure they are set up for each bubble's structure and outline. Sometimes things will fit and look good one way but read better another. I spend a lot of time reading through our releases over and over and over to take in to consideration all of these factors. Is the ellipsis here needed? Does it flow well from bubble to bubble? Can you feel the characters emotion and what they are trying to portray? Even though it is hentai, these are things that need to be taken into consideration.
I'm also in charge of getting the printing taken care of, so all of you that are waiting for the print of Renai Sample, I'm sorry but I wanted to get it just right! One of the gripes I have with printed English hentai right now is that it isn't nearly as beautiful as the Japanese.
Why do we all buy graphic novels? I want to support the artists and writers but there are also things that I want to own. I bought a signed copy of "Seconds" by Brian Lee O'Malley recently and it is a wonderfully crafted book that I am glad I own. Wani creates beautiful books with awesome color and a dust jacket with fold out flaps and extras such as gatefold pin-up posters. Why wouldn't we want to do that as well? Why not make something as close to Wani's excellent tankoubons as possible? They are doing it right and we know the fans overseas want those things as well, cause hell, I'm one of those fans and always will be. I want to bring all of those things to all of you for a reasonable price because it's possible. And its not just possible, we're doing it.
All in all, I am a fan just like the rest of you and I'm working to bring you all something you can enjoy and get your money's worth. We have some learning and growing to do but I am confident we will continue to bring you all hentai that you will love and enjoy and fap to. You can look forward to many releases in the future and I couldn't be prouder of our hardworking staff that are very passionate about putting their heart and soul into.
Thank you Ziggy, Sera, YQII, and Jacob for everything. None of this would be possible if it weren't for you.
If any of you have any questions at all, please feel free to ask and I will answer to the best of my capabilities. I could go on forever about what I envision for us here at FAKKU Books!

Speaking as a patron of your services, I cannot express accurately just how deep my appreciation for all your efforts are, but I will surely try.
Thank you and the team so much for all your dedication and hard work to provide us with high quality content. It is because of the ideals that you envision that makes this process much more meaningful than a simple business exchange from some corporate machine. You, YQII, Ziggy, Sera, Jacob, even Crazy Ben and anyone else involved truly are pouring your hearts into these projects and it is plain to see. With my purchase, I know that I am voting for your success as a job well done, and also that I support and encourage the vision that you have as well.
I would just like to say that I appreciate more than anything else the vast amount of transparency you provide us. Not only is it more personal, but it helps me feel like part of the process as well and that is pleasing in its own right.
So, thank you for all your hard work and I hope to see your endeavors with these releases blossom forth into fruition.
Best of luck with these coming releases. I hope you will find your hard work worthwhile.
