Favorites

Just this year alone (starting January 1st, 2017) I've added nearly 500 chapters to my favorites (they're mostly subscription chapters). It was a little surprising so I had to triple check, but this does appear to be the case. The year isn't even over yet, so I'm confident that there will be far more. This amount is roughly 170% of its size prior to 2017 and probably at least three times larger than my pre-purge favorites. It's sort of expected as we've gotten a bunch of new magazines but I'm still pretty surprised. It's pretty crazy how far FAKKU has come in just a couple years' time. That's a lot of chapters that I enjoyed. Like, a lot. Like, to the point where I can't even remember some of the stuff I've added.

That's a lot of porn. Anyone else have similar observations?

But in all seriousness, it does seem like the output on FAKKU has been much larger this year mainly because of the three magazines that got added this year on top of how Kairakuten BEAST was added at the end of last year. Because of that, my favorites folder has also ballooned in size (it's about doubled which is saying something since I had around 1000 favorites at the end of last year). I think the consistent quality of FAKKU's releases in comparison to scanlated releases also compounds that (although fan translations aren't nearly as Duwang-esque as they sometimes used to be).

I have so many favorites I've started creating lots and lots of collections for every type of story so that I won't have to search a particular story by it's tags (not to mention how in many cases the tags are either wrong or not there...). Drunk? I've got a collection for that! Main Heroine doesn't speak much? I've got a collection for that! The heroine uses a secret technique thought to her by her mom in order to get a husband? Got a collection for that! Sporty girl? Collection! Fluffy girl? Collection! Chapter with a very interesting plot or well drawn characters? Collection(s)!

It has! I've been keeping scores for another end-of-year recap that will be a lot more extensive this time around, but I can share a recent milestone early.



We started off 2017 with an average of exactly three chapters released each day, but that has now increased to over four as of September. This is only counting magazine chapters that are three pages or longer (no illustrations, spreads, Western, doujinshi, etc.). I'll probably elaborate more on it in the big post in early January, but for now, let's just say we got the new magazines in the nick of time. That dip leading up to June is directly related to us boosting our output while running out of our old backlog, and the spike in July is the result of finally being able to publish Europa/Bavel/Girls forM chapters.

I would also be curious to find out how the tag distribution has changed. I don't remember where I saw this metric or if it was even correct but I think we were at around 40% Vanilla content some time ago. I imagine Femdom has risen a bit with the acquisition of G4M.

Unfortunately, I don't have easy access to that sort of data. There's a quick way to get a decent, current estimate for any one tag thought:

Let's use femdom as an example. Go to the tag > check the last page > 28 pages of content.
Do the same for the most generic tag: hentai > 277 pages of content.
28/277 = 10.1%

The hentai tag is pretty good as a total, since it it filters out illustrations and non-h stuff that would otherwise skew the result. It's far from perfect, but it at least gives you a rough idea. And since you also mentioned vanilla, that's currently at 37.9%, so indeed around 40%.
