Can't wait at least we don't have long to wait with Key placing the release date around valentines day in Cover's Comment Part 176: Key

Considering that new book pre-orders typically start the day that the download links for the preceding book get posted, there'll probably be a new book tomorrow. Since there were 2 weeks in between pre-order and download links for the last two books and assuming the next book follows the same trend, that means that if a new book gets released tomorrow, then another will likely be released on 2/15 which coincides with Key's comment. My guess is that "Futabu" (or an unannounced title) will get released tomorrow and "Deep Blue Static" will be released on 2/15.

Why does this book contain chapters previously released for subscribers?

Two examples are provided below:

They're the same, but one is for subscribers and the other is in the book, Deep Blue Static.

Is there an explanation for this?

Ain't new as it happened for other books.
it's simply because the book is recent so it has chapters that appeared in the magazine.

This is normal. Books are very often a compilation of magazine released chapters. Most books include some extras but you usually wouldn't miss very much from skipping the book.

So why should you buy it?

1. You get a hard copy as magazine content is only available in digital format via FAKKU. Take comfort in knowing that the copy is your property and if anything should happen it's in your possession.
2. The book version is always better. When putting together a book, the artist will take another look at all the chapters in the book and give them some extra TLC. For an obvious example, I'll point to the upcoming SAVAN release, Melty Lover https://www.fakku.net/forums/posts/4720451#4720451 There's also some additional editing on our side. If you compare the subscription version with the book version for pretty much any release, there are improvements in the book version.
3. Many of our books contain chapters that didn't appear in the subscription. FAKKU doesn't publish everything so some chapters that appeared in other publications or before FAKKU started publishing magazines just aren't in the subscription.
4. Extra support for the artists. I believe artists get a direct cut from our book sales.

Most tankobons are just chapters from magazine release compiled into book for with little if not any updates outside less censorship. Or in futabu doujins with new chapters.

@ChrisBRosado123 explained it pretty well.

Kito Sakeru has probably been the most significant example where they've gone back and redone so much artwork from their original magazine chapters. It's not uncommon to see artists go back and retouch their work.

Also, artists tend to do little extra things with their books to make them special as well. For example, the last chapter in Key's book is a chapter completely colored that originally was black and white in the magazines. Sometimes artists include original illustrations in them as well etc.

You're also supporting the artist when buying their book, it's something fans can grab and it shows that there's a demand for their content in the magazines and books.

Key's book Deep Blue Static was the #4 best selling book in Toranoana last year in Japan. This is their second book and I think this book compared to their last shows a lot of growth and care they put into their work. I personally have been very excited about this book.

Ah, makes more sense now. I simply thought it was just a compilation of previous works put together into a book. I actually didn't know the authors make changes to their works between its initial release and the book. Now I know! Thanks for the reply!

Don't get me wrong, the books are a collection of chapters they've released in magazines, but it isn't a matter of just slapping together all the chapters and calling it a day :) at the end of the day you're supporting the artist and their hard work that they've polished up a bit for you.

Unfortunately the chapter release schedule for this book had the wrong date listed for downloads links, they will be available this Thursday (March 8th).

We'll update the schedule on the books page ASAP.

This title I'm actually able to show you a "Dummy" which was included with the title. It's a blank book with all its paper weights and type of paper so we can get a feel for it to make sure it's the quality we're looking for. Essentially it's the book without the content inside of it. We get them for every title, and it's important to check every single one, for example one time I had a title where they forgot to put glossy pages three quarters in the book for a random 4 page spread. Had I approved it, I would have told the printer I wanted colored pages on non glossy pages which would have been disastrous.

These are the kind of things that make me soo happy to see though:

Makes me relive the old times of having to use a spectrophotometer to check 'by the numbers' color correcting.

I just noticed that there's a typo on page 32 in the chapter "Irregular" where one line ("Let go...") isn't properly in the bubble:

Can I ask why Fakku isn't offering the exclusive tapestry for sale that came with this book?

Both School Love Net and Whispers After Class included exclusive tapestries as well but I've never seen them mentioned on the website....

Sorry, can you explain what you mean a bit more? Tapestry that was included with School Love Net and Whispers After Class but not with Deep Blue Static?
