That is very unfortunate... I was tricked once before by another book through a loli tag, which the loli was only in one single frame. Thankyou for the info though :(

I really enjoyed this book, and that was mostly due to the fact that it was one straight storyline from beginning to end just like Hanafuda. I became more invested in the story and the characters with every single chapter (even though in my head I kept thinking this is a prequel to the residents of Tokoharu Apartments, I mean in Tokoharu they were in College here they are in high school...but I digress).

It was fairly difficult for me to pick out one particular chapter to call my "favorite", since it was all revolved around the Seikodo tournament arch, and I was counting it all as one giant story rather then individual chapters. The chapter that left the biggest impression on me was Chapter 2. That mostly lies in the fact that in this chapter Kiyosato refused to let Hotaka be paired up with anyone else (even though he had an orgy), and after he had gallantly induced Asama into an ahegao blackout he still went straight up to Hotaka to finish inside her.

Aside from that chapter the Bonus short chapters were icing on the cake, and was a very nice surprise. The book itself had a lot of comedy scattered throughout and I did find myself literally laughing out loud.

Finally on a last note I just wanted to say best girl is Kiryuu Azumi Sensei.

I can only agree with what you said about the straight storyline, always nice something like that (it's great how there is a possibility that the the next book announcment at Anime Expo will contain "plot books"). It also was great how long the chapters were, this enabled the reader to really dive in into the story and the author could draw longer sex sessions and properly set the plot up.

My favorite chapter would be Chapter 5. It contained a nice three-way, the great post sex sleeping shot of Page 152 and Kanade's sex prisoner speach. On top of that we get to see some nice couple time of Asashi and Kanade.

The only two problems I got with the book were the teasing end of chapter 6 which talks of the future tournament which we will not get to see (at least not in near future as there is no continuation of the story at the moment) and a little plot problem between chapters 5 & 6. At the end of chapter 5 it is stated that Kanade's (half hearted) rejections don't hit Asashi as hard as in the past, but in chapter 6 it suddenly is such a problem that the can't cum anymore. I know, pointing out plot holes in hentai is a bit stupid, but it simply bugged me while reading, because it seemed like a forced way to have Kanade confess her feelings...

All in all it was a great read and the book rocket launched straight into my top 6 fakku books list since I read chapter 1.

Dear god, this book has so much text. Also, does any one else feel that all Gunma works follow a similar plot structure? A virgin guy gets surrounded by girls, but the one he wants does't want to fall in love with him. Then he goes on a sex rampage and eventually gets the girl, which ends up culminating in an orgy. I enjoyed the book, but I think it could have used a little different of a structure for the sake of variety.

Definitely agree with you on the heavy text, personally I found that quite pleasant, I would always prefer a lead up to action rather then just being tossed into it.

I have only read Tokoharu Apartments and Straight Line from Gunma and I agree that on the surface that definitely is the basic plot. I feel that it is the minuscule details that make or break Gunma's stories:
  • In Tokoharu the girl that the MC wanted, wanted him back but she had no choice but to be "everyone's girl" for the sake of the apartments VS. in Straight Line the girl the MC wanted had a bad first impression of him and later fell to his "charms" before realizing she wanted him.

  • In Tokoharu he was seduced and "forced", into intercourse by girls who have always had feelings for him VS. in Straight Line they mostly just wanted his package, and didn't care about any sort of relationship...just the package.

  • Both did end in an orgy, however in Tokoharu, he never really got the girl in my opinion, he stayed in the apartments as the resident "stress reliever", and even though he ended with the harem that don't mean he got the girl VS. in Straight Line he did get the girl, yes there is still a Harem but he is exclusively going out with the girl...he just isn't exclusively sleeping with her.

Don't know about the last point both did end with established relationships of some form.

Another key point in both stories is the protagonist being unable to cum. In Tokoharu the story end on a note that the manager is the only one that can make him cum. In a Straight Line in chapter 6 the protagonist also is unable to cum until the main female confesses her feelings for him.

I completely agree with you that both stories ended with what the MC's role is with the girls completely defined. To me it's once again about the minuscule details:

  • In Tokoharu he has the childhood friend, the Kouhai who loves him, the Tsundere, the Onee-chan, the one who is a closet pervert, and the one who is pure, and all those girls have the reservation schedule, but the manager his only love gets him whenever, no reservation needed. I don't remember him and her saying that they want to be "exclusive", but it's been a while since I read it.

  • in Straight Line the way I saw it Kanade and he clearly announce that they will go out, and even though the other girls still wanna get it in, they respect the relationship.

I forgot about the lack of being able to ejaculate similarity, makes me wonder if that is something Gunma likes to put in all the stories. I feel like I heard someone say there are 2 other books out there.

We had a bunch of early shipments of books for AX and it's possible that affected the main shipment. Sorry for the delay, but we should have an update on this and the Key book early next week.

Crazy Ben FAKKU Store Manager
I am here to clear up some shipping questions regarding It's a Straight Line Once You Fall in Love, Let's Do It, and After School Vanilla.

Gunma's book is shipping out this week into next week. I should have most of the orders finished by Wednesday next week and then begin on saitom's title.

Key's After School Vanilla WILL NOT be shipping until the end of August into September. We received the estimated shipping schedule on Monday and due to sea travel there cannot be a clear arrival date. The best I can say is that at least by the end of Labor Day weekend in September, After School Vanilla will be shipping out.

If this changes, I will try to post about it in the relevant thread. I apologize for the tardiness on getting our latest releases out to the customers in the meantime.

If there are any questions or issues about your FAKKU store orders, please contact me at store@fakku.net and I will try to do what I can to assist everyone who needs help. If your address has also changed for a pre-order that's being shipped or not released yet, please let me know that as well.

Back to shipping now, thank you for your time.
