Problems with JPG-files
0
(As the x3200 archives don't contain JPGs I'm currently enjoying my hentai just fine, but...)
I just added TiTiKEi to my Fakku collection, downloaded the x2600 zip and started reading, only to find that I couldn't view the JPG-files with FastPictureViewer (my hentai reading software of choice). To be thorough, I also checked TiTiKEi's x2600 cbz-archive as well as the x2600 zips of Melty Gaze and Bosshi's XXX MiX. I couldn't view the JPGs in any of them.
Obviously this is at least in part an issue with FastPictureViewer itself, as I can open the pictures in other programs just fine, but as I don't remember coming across other JPGs (or other pictures) FastPictureViewer couldn't handle, I'm mostly curious what the deal here is.
Has anybody had similar problems? Do the Fakku Books use some weird JPG-format/standard/profile or something?

It depends on how the original images are edited, converted and/or processed. I have problems with some host sites bulk zips of manga because they batch convert to png with trash conversion software and i have to batch fix them with irfanview. Cdisplay is my default.

Can you download these images and try them with the viewer? test-progressive-1x1.jpg represents the kind that FAKKU uses for books, which isn't that odd and is quite widely supported. Personally I would try filing a bug report with the developers or using something else for reading if this is indeed the issue.

Checked out the zip and only the baseline one worked. Weirdly enough if I save progressive JPEGs in Photoshop, I can view them just fine. I think I'm gonna look into this and see if I can find more info.
Could you tell me what software and/or settings did you use on the progressive pictures? I think that would help me get to the bottom of this.
