Question! Shindol, Henshin Emergence?

Project-H is going into darker territory with their release of Deep Stalker by DATE. If FAKKU is to catch up this could be a good place to start. I'm all for fucked up manga that only reflect the darkest parts of the human psyche >:)

I know who Shindol is, but I'm not familiar with his work. Everyone keeps mentioning fucked up material... what are we talking about specifically out of curiosity? (doesn't change anything, I'm just personally curious). Are we talking about things like NTR or things like guro?

TSF Monogatari: The main guy was medically transformed into a girl by disease and a cute one at that. Sex with a bunch of dudes, drugs, whoring, birth and the ending was very freaky approved.

ShindoL no Bunka Jinruigaku: A lot of rape, cultist stuff, squid god, birthing squids, and demons. I HAD TO BUY IT.

His doujinshi for the yotsuba had a lot of black dudes, drugs and mind breaking sex. Actually all three had mind breaking in it.

Haven't read Henshin yet since it only half done from what i found online.

He did some vanilla but he also did some... less vanilla subject.
Prostitution, gang bangs, human exploitation and violence are among things you could see if you dig.
It gets mostly fucked up when it touches darker themes in a realistic setting though, and Emergence touches pretty dark themes.

On the other side of the coin he did Shindo L's Cultural Anthropology, a pretty fun read with fetishes he hasn't really touched since (possession, tentacles and oviposition among a few others), sadly it's published by Mujin so it's not available yet for FAKKU.

I have two of his books and one of his doujin (physically at least). I would LOVE to have them translated! Bosshi, ShindoL (DA HOOTCH), and Fue are my top 3. You brought 1 FAKKU! bring the other two!!

I can respond: The desire of something different.
Vanilla is like sugar, it's sweet and all but after a while it gets disgusting and you need something else, some spice or salt maybe.

That's why there is NTR and other fetishes on the side, if they weren't here, everyone would get fed up of hentai.

I agree with @Likhos01 on this vanilla one-shot tend to be vary formulaic.
But for a lot off people I imagine its schadenfreude that draws them to the dark side myself included.

I never understood people loving and craving more NTR and if someone can explain it I would love to hear it.

I love stuff from people like Erect Sawaru who can write some weird ass but extremely cool stories, I really like his art and he occasionally does NTR. I would say his art is at its best at drawing group sex and NTR, but I never craved NTR in perticular.

When people are talking about loving a NTR work I wonder if it's the actual NTR content or if it is the artist and how he/she draws the sex that is what is really attracting people and just happen to be NTR. I understand that NTR are usually better for stuff like group sex and a large amount of bondage.

I don't want it to seem like I'm trashing NTR or anything like that, I plan on buying the Ima Love book really soon, I'm just curious about another person perspective on this.

Well I´m not particularly craving NTR either, nor would I go out of my way to look for NTR specifically, but I do certainly enjoy it.
The way I think about NTR is the same way I think about horror movies. Being actually scared is not a nice feeling, but experiencing such a strong emotion vicariously in a fictional scenario is kinda thrilling. Whether a story makes me feel happy, scared, sad or jealous doesn´t really matter to me. The fact that a story is able to make me feel emotions like that is what makes it enjoyable for me. And I think NTR stories in particular do a very good job at getting the reader emotionally invested.

Variety and NTR is something I am ok with, even though its not exactly my cup of tea. But the stuff described in Shindols work (literally physically hurting women and driving them to suicide) is really disturbing. Generally if you are at a point where you need to go that extreme to get turned on, maybe you need to lay off of Hentai for a while. You have to have a line somewhere; even the Nosebleed section has restrictions.

It hurts to read, that's the appeal.

Most of his works leave me feeling aweful, though he's done some stunning, heartwarming stuff to. Which is why I'd consider him a great artist worthy of publication. Even when it's not my cup of tea, his skill...

I have friends with dark tastes that read H/E not to wank, but for a gripping story. It is not my cup of tea, but I'm not going to invoke the third person effect and crusade against because it might affect others, or even the more nebulous 'society'. Rather selfishly, I also hate the idea someone could shut me up on the same grounds.

And just to show my academic side a bit through the dyslexia typos this likely has, philosopher Daniel Dennet once noted that drawing a hard line rarely restrains things the way people who draw them hope it does. And Alan Watts made the point that a boundary isn't a thing in itself that keeps things part. It's where two things meet.

Will I buy H/E from Fakku? No. It's too far from the boundary where Eddie meets the erotic. I didn't by Imma Real either. I still support Jacob and his team possibly publishing it or other ShindoL works.

Koukai is weak. It's not not hard to read. It's hard to focus on reading when your dick is super diamond hard.
