Hello everyone,

Last year in December I announced in the original Michiking Box thread that we would be providing a reprint for not only a Michiking Box, but also for the Saitom Box, which was the first box we ever published. If you'd like to see the original post, you can check it out here.

Originally the Michiking Box reprint was scheduled to be available this August and the Saitom Box would be for November this year. We had anticipated to submit Michiking to print in the first quarter of this year to properly order enough for everyone and prevent a high demand and low supply issue again. However, as you can imagine we had not anticipated the pandemic causing a shift in the world, and we had to refocus and adjust our schedule for everyone.

With that being said, I wanted to be transparent that these projects are still happening, but the Michiking Box will see a significant delay, and the Saitom Box will receive a slight delay.

Where I was originally going to be staggering work on these projects, they are now going to be completed together and are a high priority in our queue.
I would like to anticipate both being available by December 2020.

It's always my goal to be up to date with you and be transparent about the work myself and my team are doing and where we're at with things in terms of production of books. I just wanted to apologize that this announcement is coming only a month before and I will be doing my best to prevent something like that happening again.

If you are still interested in the pre-order for these two box sets, it's not too late! You can still place orders on them here:
Michiking Box
Saitom Box

Additionally, many of you may be curious about what upcoming new projects may be in store for this year, especially with AX being cancelled. What I can say is we have some amazing projects that I'm very excited to share with you all, but that it'll be about another month and I'd like to request that this topic be focused specifically on the reprints of boxes and not other projects that you are curious about.

A big thank you to everyone for being so kind and patient with us this year, and I hope everyone continues to be safe and stay healthy in this unpredictable time.

So does this mean that preorders for the Michiking Box will also be extended to the later date?

The pre-orders work like they do for our other books, we do a pre-order up until the books are available. Anybody who's pre-ordered gets their books shipped out first.

Hello, any date for those announcements? Thank you for your hard work!

Ahh this sucks. The Michiking Box is now out of stock for pre-order. Too bad I just got my extra cash to order it.

I assume there's no more chance to increase your stock for this box huh?

Welp, the Michiking Box pre-orders are already out stock lol. Next time I guess.

Anyways, thanks Britanny for being so transparent. It's rare to see a company be transparent, and if it is it's usually to make the company look good. The fact that you're letting us know when/what problems are occuring and that you're actually working to solve them is really commendable.

Kudos!

Dang. Looks like I just missed the Michiking box. Managed to grab the Saitom box as it was still up for pre-order. Hopefully some more become available in the future.

For those who missed the pre-order: As already stated, we no longer consider these boxes one-time limited items, so a third print run is very much a possibility depending on demand and resources. However, considering this round of reprints is still months away from release, I can't give any further specifics on when/if that would happen. For now, I recommend you stay tuned and follow us on any of our official channels for future updates on doujinshi boxes.

Michiking is back up for pre-order! It was just an administrative error marking these as out of stock. They'll be up for pre-order until they arrive and then any left overs will be just on sale with pre-orders having priority just as books do.

Just as a heads up, the Saitom Box is still a work in progress.
For the sake of transparency: I've approached several hurdles to get over with this box in terms of things. One of them was getting everything resized into a different format and it looking right. Another one was the late realization that the printer we work with and have worked with happened to not be the printer that was used with the original box. This was a box that I actually worked on when I was a letterer but was not involved in its original print production, it was instead done by the previous print production manager. So what does this mean? It means that instead of just taking the settings with print and ink density output and reprinting it, we have to instead go in and compare inks and get color corrections and it's more of a process that's done with an original printing.

We have everything ready to go and just doing some final box cover color corrections to make sure the box is as beautiful as it was previously. I'll be sure to follow up when I have a final ETA date.

Thanks

Hi Brittany, is there any chance that these would be made available on united publications, for European buyers?

Thanks.

Well it's to be expected. A little waiting can't hurt!

Yes we intend to, however it's up to united publications on how much stock they are interested in purchasing.

Which two books? You mean the Michiking Box and Saitom Box? If you pre-ordered both together, it's waiting on the Saitom Box since it was less of a reprint and more of a 'print it again from scratch'

Thankfully the color issues are taken care of and it's in the binding stage where it can then be shipped out so I have a solid ETA at this point. By mid April it's ETA is to arrive.

Looks like the current thread is not linked in FAKKU Books: Release & Reprint Status an the individual book pages don't have the ETA/in stock information.

Saitom Box arrived late last week along with 9 pallets of other items. Warehouse is getting organized and then will begin shipping things out :)

Just received the updated Saitom box, is uhh, the lettering on the binding of the box supposed to be running off onto the back of the box? Did anyone else have this issue?

It's how the box was designed! It's intentional. This was actually the only box we didn't create and was designed entirely by Saitom themselves (usually we get the artwork and we design the rest of the box) and they were going for a very modern look
