[Sugaishi] A Healthy Appetite

I bought this book in Japanese at Kawaii Kon 2016. Jacob was there and he told me a little secret that Fakku was publishing this very book. So glad to see it actually up for pre-order! Definitely buying the digital version of it.

And you kept quiet about it. Such willpower. I applaud you.

I'm only active on Fakku when the time is right. A book announcement from Sugaishi is one of those times.

Now I am definitely not complaining about it, I am just genuinely curious as to why this particular book is getting an accelerated release schedule?

We got a nice little 2 chapter release today, and according to the release schedule we will get the last 6 chapters released in 2 set batches and that is great, definetly no complaints from me at all.

Going forward we'll be trying to keep a consistent three week release schedule for books. That schedule plans for one week of pre-order, one week of chapter release, and one week of buffer before the next pre-order. To accommodate that we'll be doing double chapter releases like today!

No promises we'll stick to it, but hopefully this will allow everyone to have a good idea of when we'll be releasing books so that you can plan ahead.

Why does it say download links are available on 20th while the last 2 chapters are released on 14th?
Is it a mistake?

Edit: I see there are different days on the Fakku site and the store site tho... Here each are a day later ;o)

In most cases the download links go up the week after the final chapter, on the next Thursday at 4 PM on the west coast. The store simply lists a date, but the site lists a point in time, which means the actual time/day will differ depending on where you are in the world. If you for instance live in Europe, it would be past midnight and the site will list Friday instead of Thursday. Ultimately it's released at the same time, but it can be a bit confusing because of time zone differences.

I'm just wondering why it's not at the same day as the last chapter.
Since everything should be finished until the last chapter is uploaded, you could prepare the download links and make them available at the same day.
I mean you probably are finished with all chapters right now so it should be possible.

I just want your books as soon as possible and when I'm buying books I like to have them on my iPad when buying.
That's why I always wait for the purchase until the links are available ;)

Putting together the download files is a lot of work (for people and for machines), so we want to give readers time to report potential typos. We can then fix those and do a single export instead of having to do all that work a second time just to add in a missing period. That's the main reason links go up 5~10 days after the final chapter.
