Anyone know when fakku will release this? Is there a release calendar or something? This website is kinda hard to navigate.

I am very confused on how this licensing aspect works with these magazines. Is it always a case by case basis with every comic they release decided by them on whether you can sell them here or not? I thought these were more longterm contracts/licenses and you would be able to run everything from their magazines for as long as the license/contract lasted or something. Because I really, really am looking forward to this specific issue :(

All our magazines are listed here and work pretty much the way you described where we work with a Japanese publisher to release compilations of various artists. Doujinshi are self-published works, where we work directly with the artist to release individual chapters. Many of the doujin releases on here are done by other publishers, using FAKKU for distribution. You can find the doujinshi page (where you can also sort by publisher) on this page.
As already mentioned, that particular series is done by Irodori Comics, so I suggest following them on their social media to stay up to date with their releases.

Okay, so Issue number 5 was an individual doujin release by the author then, and whenever/if Irodori gets it you eventually will too from what I understand?

The artists, in Japan, independently creates and releases doujins. They are not commercial works published in magazines.
Irodori Comics signs contracts with the artists and translates their works
FAKKU serves as a platform for Irodori Comics to distribute and sell the translations
On the other hand, FAKKU works with Japan publishers such as Wani Magazine to provide magazine subscription services.

They’re not going to release it until August. These fuckers really don’t know their months.....first they say June, then July.... bet it won’t even be an August release...
