Shipping Delay Updates

Hello everyone, I wanted to update you all where things are with shipments and give a little insight as to why they're taking so long.

We just received one of our first books of 2021 in (Holesome Gals) the warehouse today, and it was a book that was completed at the end of 2020 for release. I bring this to your attention because it took almost 8 months to arrive here and that's about double the time it normally takes to receive a book. 2020 was a difficult month for everyone and while our release dates were delayed from shipment, it was a mixture between us keeping up with things while transitioning from working separately and from home and shipment. Now we're back to full speed, but so are many other businesses and the demand for exports from Hong Kong has had a ripple effect that they're having a hard time keeping up with the demand from everyone. There's a major shortage in shipping containers, and then there's a major spike in pricing for shipping containers. While the price doesn't impact us, the shortage does and many times we have books sitting in Hong Kong finished and we get updates that another title was delayed, another title was delayed, and eventually we have a bunch of titles bulked up together waiting for shipment.

A good example of this is we're expecting a shipment to arrive by the end of this week or early next week for the following titles:
Pandra II
Spead the Peace
Dreaming Maiden
(RP) The Job of a Service Committee Member
(RP) Ima Real
(RP) Excusion Day 99
(RP) Metamorphosis
(RP) Futabu
(RP) My Lover is a Vampire
(RP) Heat Alert

These are about 20 pallets worth of books that were not completed all at once, but have just ended up lumped together due to shipping delays while waiting for shipping containers. This is a LOT for our warehouse when we do receive this, so please do excuse shipping delays while they get this in and process everything.

While we will continue doing releases and launching new titles, it's difficult for me to put an ETA on arrival since every so many weeks I get an email letting me know things have arbitrarily been delayed. Please excuse me during this time if I don't have everything quite up to date with how frequent we do receive these notifications but I will do my best.

I hope this helps clear some air and let you know that things are well on our side and we plan to continue doing releases, but we will be experiencing delays with receiving goods for quite a while until exporting has calmed down due to all the shut downs last year.

Hello everyone,

I have another update that isn't much of a change of the projected path that we've followed this year, just more information I want to share with you all so you understand why delays are happening.

I came across a good article if anyone is interested from the BBC, Shipping disruption: Why are so many queuing to get to the US? that came out about 5 days ago. It goes over a lot of information, but they also provided an info graphic to illustrate why these are issues so it doesn't seem quite as much of a nebulous problem.



This means that our ETA's are going to be continued to be pushed back unfortunately and there's not really anything we can do about it except keep you updated for when the next ETA comes along for me to pass forward to you guys.

I'm very sorry for the inconvenience, but you guys have been very wonderful about being patient with us as well and I can say that everyone here greatly appreciates that. Thank you guys!

Any chance of a further update? I don't mind waiting, but status is useful IMO to set expectations. I preordered TSF Monogatari in print back in July, and I still don't have a tracking number.

I wouldn't be so concerned, but I move to a new city in mid-to-late February. If the ship date is after that point, is there any chance I can get the destination address changed?

I'm very sorry for missing this post, but please reach out to Support where you'll be able to adjust that information with our team. It really is a when it rains it pours situation where we're bottlenecked at every step. Printers are bogged down, shipping is bogged down, then with us not having the same system as we did previously anymore for orders, that's slowed down as it has to be done manually until we're finished setting up the new system. Try and hang in there with us, but besides that we can get your address updated and sent to you to its proper location.

Just wanted to update everyone and let them know that FAKKU Support was absolutely awesome and got my address updated right away upon request. I received the book a few weeks ago! It's an amazing addition to my collection.
