Not that i'd complain but the new book is not released and it's way past the deadline already.

Which book?

Fresh meat. That's the only one being released currently so asking "which" was a bit confusing...

Do you mean the download links? All the chapters are up on the site.

Yes I mean the download link for the book. It isn't really a big deal, though. I just wanted point this out.

The lack of communication or new and controversial content is a bummer.

If they do indeed have licenses but only release a few out of the bunch monthly, that's like paying for the newspaper but you get missing sections.

The books are fantastic quality and I've bought most, but I'd rather pay 20 bucks a month somewhere else for content I actually like and a team that addresses the issues brought up by the community in one thorough post instead of team members from other divisions trying their best to help.

If you're on the fakku team, why not jump ship and begin a competing company? Obviously things could be better.

Because I like the people I work with and I think we have a very good team.

I think people forget that not every magazine is released monthly. Most of them are either Bi-Monthly or quarterly. We also have no control over what controversial content they make. We just work with what licenses we currently have and what the editors and artists in Japan create.

But Yeah, we can do better at letting people know whats up at times. I'm taking over some areas to help with that.

We're still learning some things.

This guy. I like this guy.

So, seeing you mention Fakku's agreements with the various magazines reminds me:

Would it be possible/productive for us to put in requests for particular artists whose work we'd like to see on Fakku? Perhaps specific titles, even? I ask because it's pretty rare for me to see any names or titles I recognize here (and even rarer for anything I do recognize to be included with my subscription).

There's actually a thread Book suggestions that we actually do look at. The first post has a list of the publishers Fakku works with.

Hmm...
I'll have to take a look. Can't say I necessarily know the publisher affiliations of many artists, though.

What if we didn't have a particular title in mind, and we just wanted to see some of a particular artist's stuff on the site?

I mean you can still suggest an artist for a book if you want. If you mean you want to see random chapters by an artist, unfortunately it's not that simple since our chapters come from magazines that are published in Japan (like Shonen Jump but with porn) and we don't just pull random things an artist has done and put them on the site.

I have to say that I'm not really happy with FAKKU selling stories one chapter at a time for the same price that they used to sell full books for. I made that mistake once thinking I was getting the whole story only to get a chapter of it. I won't purchase it again at those prices. A story with five chapters and an epilogue ends up costing you $60 dollars, and I consider that highway robbery. I consider these stories in the same class as a graphic novel, and I'm prepared to pay graphic novel prices but no way am I gonna pay 60 dollars for a full story.

Guessing the bullied book plus shipping abroad which makes no sense to the statement either. Like crying when GoT costs extra if you want a bd instead of watching it on hbo or on demand/netflix.

The epilogue wasn't in the 8 chapters we got from the magazine. Like a lot of stories from magazines to the tankobon they add something to make the book special.

Well, if they are talking about Bullied, I just hope they're not thinking that the chapters on the front page you have to buy individually, since it doesn't work that way and it's just $10 for all of Bullied digitally.

He's a subscriber so i think he knows that but he wants the non magazine stuff too. Which if he taking about the paper book then it's not equivalent to the digital copy or magazine sub.

Ah, yeah, if it's the physical book and shipping bumps it up to $60 then that explains it.

Wait, wasn't Bullied available for any subscriber to read?

In any case, it would be nice if, when appropriate, a book's page would have something akin to "this is just if you want a physical copy of this. Your subscription already lets you read this chapter online "

I've seen a few items that I are seemingly listed twice, once where I can just read it, and once where I'd have to purchase it first. Seems as though those two listing could just be rolled into one, with a purchase button under "read online".

I pay that every month for doujin, manga and anime. Shit amazon.jp without proxy is 13-15 for a bd or manga and they get the super bulk discount.
