[Locked] Chronically-downvoted comments?! (Doujinmoe user war?!)

Every comment I and other users appear to make on newly posted manga is being downvoted numerous times.

If it were just one down vote per comment, I think that would be odd enough... but someone/people are voting down comments multiple times, for ENTIRE manga comment sections.

What's up with this, or am I the only one noticing this besides the uploaders?

I see it a lot. Their prerogative. Probably you and the other handful of people this is happening to have made enemies of someone. Might as well get used to it, and ignore it. Mention it and they will keep doing it over and over again until they get bored.

Oh, I realize that. But it just is weird, so I'm wondering if it could be looked into (not sure if admins can see who's downvoting what or how often). Because clearly no one is benefiting, and if anything, someone's helpful comment might not help if it goes unseen.

While not exactly the same, I'm assuming it is similar to the reputation system. You can't tell someone they can'd down-vote someone no matter how many times they do it. Start coming up with rules on how you can use your own vote, then you might as well get rid of the system entirely.

True, but given the fact you can vote on any given comment once, the system is nice, but quite open for abuse.
Maybe instate some sort maximum, say, even twenty votes(how many comments could you wanna even vote on?!) per manga. And even that, per day.

Leave it a pretty open system, but at least make such "downers" slow their pace... lol

Same goes with me. I got a big amount of downvotes within this week.
Five is a lot if you have just started posting on fakku, like me.

EDIT: Now, it's six, out of the 3 doujins I've commented on.

Here's some advice, just ignore and keep making comments. That's why I try to do, anyway.

I got mad at first, but after some Senpais here in Fakku told me that downvotes means nothing, it doesn't bother me anymore.

PS: I got 5 notifications of downvotes when I commented on "Manami's Fate" and when I checked it out it's only 1 downvotes, wtf!?

That means you had 2 upvotes/3 downvotes...

Either that or someone spamming the up and down arrow...

It's like adding positive and negative numbers: the result will show up as the sum of the up and down combined.

Hahaha, that is freaking hilariously awesome. I've seen a couple of sites crop up like that. One was against Hongfire and another was against Fakku, but none of them had the support or the traffic to back it up.

Honestly, I love it when sites do this. Whether they succeed or fail, it's something entertaining to watch.

In my opinion, it would be good to bring such matters up, so that the management is aware of it.

Although I am unable to do anything about these up and down votes, I will brainstorm a little to see if there is any appropriate solutions. ^_^;;

What about simply abolishing the vote system?

... or maybe remove the negative sign and replace it with "mark as spam" and "flag as inappropriate" then let the mods decide if it is really inappropriate / spam post.

...that's rather a reasonable and simple solution.

This looks like it'll be fun to watch. What's the guy's problem anyway?
