[Locked] Chronically-downvoted comments?! (Doujinmoe user war?!)

This looks like it'll be fun to watch. What's the guy's problem anyway? You sure you replied in the right topic, sir?

Every comment I and other users appear to make on newly posted manga is being downvoted numerous times. If it were just one down vote per comment, I think that would be odd enough... but someone/people are voting down comments multiple times, for ENTIRE manga comment sections.
What's up with this, or am I the only one noticing this besides the uploaders?
Actually I just noticed it myself and replied to my own comment that received the down-votes, strangely my comment was a reply to yours and I just thought people disagreed, but now that you mention it, it is rather odd that I received 3 within seconds of each other.

Apparently this is some kind of anti-F! sentiment from Doujinmoe?!
[color=red][b]ROFL. This will be amusing to watch.

I took a look at this and there was some mass downvoting going on. I will be rolling back the downvotes on the affected comments and upvoting them.

It's fun to downvote... makes me feel so good.. I never use it anyways.

I only downvote if they've said something stupid, like an arrow in the knee joke.
I'm not overly fussed about the mass downvoting, but it's quite annoying.

You are one of the ones who talks about people's free will, people's prerogative to use these systems as they will even if their intent is nothing than to troll. As long as they aren't actually cheating the system, why change that now?

Because people are abusing that free will enough to be a pain in the ass to the whole community, perhaps?

Then why say you value the free will of the users if it only applies in certain situations? It's okay if you have free will if it is something I support? Is that what we want it to be now?
You have to know that if you support this "free will" stuff that it means you also have to turn a blind eye to people who are going to use it to troll. You can't have your cake and eat it too. It's childish to complain about constantly getting derepped, and it is childish to complain about constant downvoting too.

In modern terminology, even "Free will" is limited by rules which are set by a higher authority, in this case Fakku. You can still do whatever you like, but there will be consequences for breaking these rules.
If you're a user from another site set to mass downvote legit comments without even looking at the comments or giving them a second thought, that Free will is violating the fairness of an otherwise unmoderated system. In this case, Jacob is rectifying unfairness brought about by certain users from other H-sites with a vendetta against Fakku, for whatever reason. Although it's only a small system and generally a worthless one in the eyes of the entire forum, it's still only fair to bring fairness back to the system, isn't it?

Then that is a fault of the system for allowing unregistered users to downvote comments, that has nothing to do with the fairness of the issue itself. You can regulate things and still be fair.
All I hear is we're expecting essentially no regulation, fairness, and yet getting pissed off when someone gets downvoted constantly. Get mad at the system, but don't continue to spout off how we care about having a fair, free will system when you turn around and not only negate it, but plus upvote just because your pissy.

Then what would you suggest be a good solution? Besides ignoring it, obviously

If not, then some regulations similar to the reputation system would be nice. Limit the amount of times you can vote per day, never be able to vote on the same comment twice in a row, etc...
Just because something has regulations doesn't mean you sacrifice free will and fairness. I'd argue you sacrifice that by turning around doing the opposite just because someone complains about it.

I've seen quite a few people, on both the forums and on comment-threads on the manga which suffered from the downvoters, complain about the topic. It's not like it's just one person making a fuss of it, quite a few people are.

One versus one hundred. What difference does it make? It's my opinion anyway. Take it with a grain of salt like everyone should. I think its childish to complain about it regardless if you're the only one or if 95% of Fakku backs you up on it.
Honestly, it bugs me a bit too, but not so much that I feel I need to take the time to tell everyone else about it. What does bug me is that Jacob, and it's understood by everyone else, treats the reputation system as a free will, fair system in which you can do as you wish as long as you aren't actually breaking and cheating the system. Granted, I don't think Jacob or anyone else has said the same regarding comment voting, but it makes logical sense to treat it exactly the same.
And if Jacob actually negates those down-votes, and in turn increase the votes instead, that's no longer fair. That's the opposite of it. That's manipulating the system (which yeah, duh, he can if he wants) but that doesn't change the fact that it is by definition cheating the system, which is no longer the fair, and free will system that he claims to cherish.

I can see where you're coming from. If the downvotes were just rolled back then it would be more fair.
I probably should have realised that's what you were getting at from the beginning.

Well, I say let it go for now. Until the trolls come up with a better way to wreck people's fapping experience, then you shouldn't feed them.
The only problem i see here is that the constant downvoting might shy people away from commenting altogether...
And the comments on Fakku are really what make the site XD A spoonfull of lol makes the fap feel better.

doujin-moe may cause its war. but it lost a lot of users when it became a free user/paid user site. Sure they can wage the war but the posting of doujin-moe is usually 2-3 weeks behind fakku. so there is very very little chance that other than annoying people will succeed. hell, if fakku actually fought back (which we probably won't cuz we chill), it'd be complete annihilation.
I can even say that probably an eighth of Fakku can probably crash doujin at will.. say for a week... that would completely end the war if they still want to fight.
P.S. just found that loli-ban thing? is that thing still active? and does my avatar fall under that?

Well, supposing that we know true Fakkers are not the cause of the downvotes, that means the downvotes are made from multiple new fakku ID's on which the recent activity will be downvotes and minimum commenting/posts.
If the IDs are made solely for the purpose of downvoting and only downvoting, it beats the purpose of having the ID, which is to interact, contribute and enjoy Fakku community more than just as a guest.
Thus since the ID is invalid, the opinions made on behalf of those IDs would be null and void as well by extension.
How about direct intervention?
I suppose Jacob and other privileged Fakku staff have the authority to, as Jacob mentioned before, rollback votes and also, what I am proposing here, ban the Troll IDs (TIDs).
I can only assume, but if Fakku staff can access all information regarding account activities, then how about we (Fakku staff):
1) filter and list all IDs recently made (esp around the start of the downvotes)
2) look to see account activity. If it is a real account, it will not only have downvotes, but upvotes as well, along with posts/comments.
3) Ban the IDs and the emails corresponding to the IDs (if the activity is ONLY downvotes, it will most probably be a TID, so there is little risk of friendly fire.
4) repeat the process should Trolls simply use new emails to create more TIDs.

The only rule for Avatars is that genitals are not allowed to be shown, nor are they allowed to be gorey or disturbing. Just to be on the safe side though, don't have a naked loli as an avatar.
Your avatar is fine.
