You clearly haven't read the original post of this thread at all. This thread was created solely for the purpose of eliminating spam from the commenting section, and to give it a general guidelines as a whole.
I merely used the thread I linked to provide yet another example of how the current commenting system is flawed, and yet another reason of why it should, in my own personal opinion, be improved in some form.

you're not the only one who's getting downvoted, you should see when people comment positively on rape or ntr, if everyone were to complain and whine about being downvoted for saying they like something then fakku would have been in chaos long ago, there are people out there who'll think you're fetish is weird, get used to it.

The issue, as i see, on the original topic, is that if you take out the voting system, bad things that need to die, as well as the opinionated things (which, depending on the side get down voted). If you keep it both will happen. The amount of comments per day are probably way up there and patrolling it would be quite difficult.However i do agree with the complete deletion of 'this post has been deleted'. But i also am kind of for it..... if i look down at the comments that's usually a good indicator as to how vehemently the community dislike the manga...unless the tags say NTR then its top comment...

I think this is less a job for hands-on moderation and more for how comments should be formatted on a page. Think reddit, imgur. Image replies aren't even allowed and lengthy replies aren't either (or collapsed).
As for people downvoting comments you feel should be constructive, "that's just like, your opinion man". No but seriously, if you get caught on the wrong side of tyranny by majority, you should probably just let it go.
