I respect the choice of FAKKU! to become invested into actual licensed content and it will be my first to go site when it comes to digital licensed content. However the removal of the Monstergirl and Tentacles tag broke my heart, I'll have to move on. Good luck on your endeavour, Jacob!

I can't tell if you know this, but the tags will be back once there's content to fill them.

Sure the tag might come back but then again what the point if most of our fravs from that section does not return because it not licensed. This is already a blow to many users, either way there is no timeline for the return it could be 5 years from now. Plus there is the fact that will remain, Fakku will never be able to license every hentai manga on this website that is going to be removed.

Jacob and others have mentioned a lot of times that a tool will be coming up that will export your lost favourites into a list. That way, you'll at least know what was gone.

Internet's a vast place. If you don't wanna stick around here, you're more than welcome to take your list and find that shit elsewhere.

You guys really need to make a proper announcements page that's visible to the home page. Like, this topic itself was posted in the wrong section. This definitely isn't "Suggestions? Problems with the site? Ideas to make it better?" This makes me wonder if you're trying to hide this for as long as you can.

Aw. man, this stinks! Why is it every time that decent hentai DJ sites yours post good stuff, the dark spectre of censorship looms above you?

None of this explains why very specific controversial tags have been completely removed. Many of the works under the Loli and Incest tags, for example, were original works not requiring licensing. If it were as you say, then there would be no tags left at all. Instead, only the most controversial have been removed.

I feel as though you're trying to explain why Harry killed Paul to distract us from why Suzy killed Harry.

[quote="Kinkykitten00"]So says the lurker who only became a member to rant about having their precious free porn taken away from them. If this site were truly important to you, you'd have become a member sooner rather than reap the rewards without any participation on your part.

As you say, there are plenty of sites you can go to for a porn fix. Your absence will be neither missed nor regretted.

"Lurkers" like him have also been playing an important role in making artists and works known.
Dissing them like that is like biting the hand that has been helping you.

With all due respect, how does reading these works, without participating in any type of discussion or commentary, help to spread the word of an artists skill to others. I don't doubt Kinkykitten00's love for the works he/she has read on this site, but that doesn't make him/her an advocate. We all appreciate the works of these Manga/Doujinshi artists, or we wouldn't be here. If anything, it is the scanlation groups and translators who deserve our thanks for putting the works of those artist into the public eye when we otherwise would have likely overlooked them. Because of them, despite their dubious legality, Fakku has proven that hentai works can be marketable outside of Japan, but it also means removing the content that would hinder its move to publishing legitimacy.

Kinkykitten00's rant was nothing more than the cry of a child whose stolen toy was taken away and returned to its rightful owner. To say otherwise is to coddle an already spoiled child.

Lastly, I was not 'dissing' lurkers in general, but this particular one. I was a lurker too, for about a month, while I decided whether to become a member of these forums. If all you want to do is read these works, then by all means lurk away, but don't act like those who lurk are helping the market, or the artists who drew their favorite works. People don't sit around discussing hentai in their break rooms at work, it is in forums like this that most meaningful discussion of an artist's merits are discussed. So, if someone's not an active member of this site, why should I give their opinion any undue respect.

You are an ignorant fool if you think lurkers like me don't help the site. The fact you think this is a good move proves you're an ignorant fool.

News flash, account or not, lurkes like me draw ad revenue.
Account or not, lurkers like me suggest the site to anyone and everyone who was looking for specific works. I know I myself sent countless people to this site and many of them signed up.

Discussions mean nothing in the big scheme of things. It's people finding the site and using the site.

So no. This is only a ploy to line the pockets of money grubbing idiots. And to say otherwise shows you're nothing but a spoiled fool.

You might want to stop talking like an asshole, just saying. Actually makes people take you a bit more seriously.

And you got it wrong regarding the "big scheme of things". The reason Fakku! is still here today is because of the Community not random Lurkers. Not saying lurkers don't help, traffic is big, and while ad block is really cutting into earnings, ad revenue is still money. It was the community who came together and helped Jacob keep fakku afloat in the early days, it was the community who helped shape and create what features we have today with "discussions". The community and discussions also helped create and help thrive the Fakku! store. Which I'm sure played a big part of direction Fakku! is going now.

It's been 'answered' by people who are making assumptions about the OP. The questions as to why ONLY the most controversial tags have been removed has not once been answered by anyone that actually removed them. I've bought many of the books that Fakku! has sold and will likely continue to do so, so you're not the only one that's a fan of the site. But I won't ignore the fact that tags have been removed with only the most general of explanations, devoid of any real information.

Edit: If I'm wrong, by all means, quote it. I don't need Fakku! defenders, I need an official explanation that isn't bullshit.

"Missing tags are related to unlicensed controversial content being removed. Because all of the content under those tags is no longer available, the tags have been hidden. The removal of tags has no impact on the content we will be publishing."

All of my favorited comics that were removed are now no longer listed under Favorites as they were before.

I thought something was being made to export that list? Not just that the list was going to be wiped out?

Yes, an export tool is being made for the favorites.

:( I wish I knew about this earlier, I just checked my favorites and noticed some of them were missing. I don't even remember some of them...

Thank you for these past years Fakku, you were awesome until you lasted. I'm moving on to other sites now. I only came to Fakku because to be honest the design is neat but nothing more.

I'm not sure entirely what the purpose is behind the removal of unlicensed content so im not going to complain without knowledge thereof. however, almost 3 pages worth of my favorites have been removed and my searches throughout the internet have brought up no alternative sources for several of them. This makes me very unhappy :(

I'm gonna try to simplify it as much as possible in words anyone should be able to understand.

Activision dishes out a new Call of Duty game every year, along with whatever else they own, for set prices. Now, imagine if, somehow and for some reason, Activision started to give away free download codes forever... for Mario and Final Fantasy games. Intellectual properties that do not belong to them is being distributed away by them without any permission from Nintendo or Square, and no profit is being given back to them.

Imagine the backlash Activision would incur on itself from literally fucking everyone if this happened. The legal and financial ramifications would be unimaginable.

Now, imagine on a smaller scale, that it's Fakku instead of Activision, the licensed content is Call of Duty, and the unlicensed stuff that Fakku has no rights to are the Mario and Final Fantasy games. The consequences wouldn't be as huge, but they exist and it would be a negative stain on Fakku, which Jacob doesn't want to get now.

Hope that clears up why this is being done to anyone who didn't bother to read through what Jake said the first time properly.

I already know about this tool. It is unfortunate that I can't voice a solid fact without you basically telling me to get lost.

So let me get this straight. A fakku-rap gets a front page announcement, but deleting of all free content, and making a paid wall just gets a post on "Feedback, Suggestions, and Support"? Wow just wow. Heck this post even came after the removal was started, so now we have to wait on the export function to be able to see all of our favorites.

I'm still new to this scene in general so I'm kinda having a hard time completely understanding what this all means. I understand the removal of controversial stuff from the site, but what makes a manga or doujinshi unlicensed? Is it stuff that's being sold officially that people are uploading scans to the site?

Thanks for any replies, I'd like to understand what most are upset about. Again I've only been on the site for a few months so it's not really effecting me, but I've both two books from the site already and glad to support the artist.
