I'm proud to be a subscriber and buy of fakku published books, both since the beginning. I was not on the site when it was founded, but as soon as I did, I loved it. The hard work that's been put in, especially to bring high quality uncensored and translated content to Western fans is awe inspiring and I'm proud to support the site! I'll continue too until I'm poor and out of money!

You know, I get the same impression from reading a lot of the negative posts on here. Regarding US members, if you're 18 w/ a part-time job, and assuming your credit isn't screwed up, you should be eligible for at least a debit card, if not a credit card. Then again that may be making a lot of assumptions...
And for those not wanting other people to know you buy cartoon porn? Well, I can't help you there - you're an adult (supposedly), so you can make your own choices.

Yeah, some were saying they don't want it showing on their credit card history or something? Who else is looking at it exactly? I just think it's very telling when people say things like that.

The JSON File Viewer Extension for Firefox works rather well with the export files. Can see the thumbnail image, the titles, the associated tags, etc. All super handy for re-tracking down lost favorites.

I'm sad that several epic comment chains have now been deleted but I think you made the right choice Jacob. Supporting authors in any medium is a worthy cause. I just hope enough people get behind this for it to succeed. Salutations from down under!

But I think it's easier to just assume they're either lazy or kids I guess.

i think you waited to long to add subscriptions $12.95 a month is a little to high if you ask me. Your more loyal fans will of course stay and pay for a subscription If you did something along the line of $24.95 every three months then that would be a lot better. Plus people would able to afford that and you wouldn't drive away as many new people.I've been here since the creations of fakku and i will keep coming back but im not here to often enough where its worth the subscription dont get me wrong payment is not the problem its how often you want to charge if you could provide some more in details on why you picked this kind of plan that could help us understand your plan. Lets be honest all sites like fakku want to charge 24-30 a month which is dumb thats why a lot of sites don't last long they wanna charge you for shitty content (not fakku) and expect you to be ok with it.

Anyway, the concern I had was actually the lack of announcement to the casual users on here. Before you say anything else, I am aware that there were multiple announcements on the site for months. However, those announcements were more caught on by those who come in regularly rather than those who come here one in a while. Thanks to the Wayback Machine, the last announcement on the homepage was on December 11, 2015. The actual post can be seen here: Coming Soon. In the middle of that entire post was 2 paragraphs regarding Scanlations. People who read that knew what was coming but for the casual, it was quite long to read. The fact that the announcement was in the middle made it quite easy to skip over in my opinion. Add to the fact that as new content was added, the post would move down until it is no longer the homepage. The casual user could have easily (and by the sound of it did) miss the announcement.
This is just a personal opinion of mine but I think if there was daily notification from that announcement, whether through the headline announcement box like the one now, or even a pop up like the "Are you over 18?" box, there would have been less anger towards the purge. Then again, that is just my opinion.

You don't really have those statistics and you're just making an assumption. Why would someone who is just a kid and can't pay for it regardless or hates fakku and won't pay anyway ask for tier systems or a possible reduction in price?
What purpose would those serve if they have no intention to support the site from the get go like you and many others here are assuming.

You're right those people are immature. They're throwing tantrums because they want everything and they want it for free and don't care about the decision that fakku is going.
There is however a great number of posts "bitching" about the price because they think it's a bit high, those people are usually offering suggestions and comparing the price to other subscription service. I'm not arguing, I made a statement that has logical foundation. The only thing I see is you arguing that it's easier to claim that people are lazy or children, when I assure you, by watching this thread, a majority of the complaints highlight this sort of behavior. I don't need to explain myself. Your actions are of all time, not just one post. I'm not going to waste my time any further in this. lol
