UPDATE: Digital purchasing is back online! Physical (paperback books) will be back in January.

As of August 31st, 2021, FAKKU is unable to accept orders for digital or physical goods (doujin, games, books, apparel, etc) from our store, which was hosted by a 3rd party service. This does not impact FAKKU Unlimited subscriptions. Pre-orders placed before August 31st, 2021 will be shipped to customers on-time and without issue, barring any unforeseen unrelated circumstances. We are actively working to create an order status page for these orders that will provide tracking and additional information.

All new non-subscription releases are currently delayed. FAKKU is actively working on getting a new storefront in place for order fulfillment and we will be posting more updates soon.

In addition to this forum thread, we will continue to provide updates on the FAKKU official twitter account (twitter.com/fakku) and we continue responding to customer inquiries via support@fakku.net. In the meantime, customers should be able to purchase many of our physical books at our retail partners - Right Stuf, Powell’s, Archonia, and Amazon. We'll provide a list of FAQ's in the next reply.

Thank you for all of your support 🙏 our store will be back online soon.

Was this related to a security breach or compromised customer information?
No, this is purely the result of the continued crusade against 18+ content by mainstream tech platforms.

Duly Noted. 👍

But why has this happened? I appreciate the update, but this is sadly and unfortunately vague.

Is this a security breach or something like that? Like... Context would be great please. Going to worry a lot of people otherwise.

We would like to know if we are compromised. Everyone is asking.

Nope, this is nothing like that. This is purely the result of the continued crusade against 18+ content by mainstream tech platforms.

We will update the FAQ to make this clear.

Will you tell us the whole story when the time is right? Who's behind the crusade in particular?

Actual information would be nice. This tells us absolutely nothing and is opaque as mud.

I can't say I'm surprised at what happened, unfortunately. I know that this has happened to other publishers as well. I just wish there was something we could do on our end.

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case.

Either the platform they were using for the store, or the host, axed them. While corporate censorship doesn't anger me as much as government, it is still utter BS. A few people indoctrinated by whatever book either use their money or moan enough to force their beliefs on others. People should just pull their heads out of their asses and let others live their lives. If you don't like something, then don't watch/touch/use it.

Hoping you are able to get the new storefront going soon without issues. I am looking forward to seeing the new store platform.

Would it be possible to start doing pack in codes? like I like collecting the physical books but usually read them digityally. Like furnishing the retailers with ways to add the digital to your library

I second this. Getting codes through places like TRSI might be a pretty nice alternative if the store issue is never settled.

TRSI has been in the game for a long time and, as far as I know, they've never had to deal with this kind of nonsense. Though I guess it helps that they deal in a lot of mainstream content that maybe helps take the heat off.

I'm hoping this issue gets more traction since it's actually a pretty big deal. Doujinshi artists have a place where they can monetize and release their content uncensored, so I'm under the impression that this is a pretty big blow if it never gets settled.

I really like Fakku as a service too since all the digital content gets released DRM free. I literally get a PDF of every digital book purchase I make, as opposed to shit being locked behind Amazon or Apple's reader or whatever.

A+ service you're running here. Superb way to treat customers.

Sasuga Fakku, truly the bottom of the barrel.

I wondered why the other doujin publisher shutdown and remade their website and I guess it's similar. Oh well.

Or at the very least while the store is down if you order from one of those retailers send the invoice to Fakku and have them added to your library
